Never heard of this one and bumped into it totally by accident. Seems like it might be fun!

Reasonable price but not a bargain considering how simple it is. Probably priced about right.

Only 6 reviews but they all seem positive.

May be worth considering. If it was about  a third cheaper would have just grabbed it on spec, but will wait and see what people say - I still have  a few of of the tinier planes like the Cri Cri and Long Ezy to pick up yet, so no need to rush in.

I picked it up near release, absolutely love it, this was my feedback on the official msfs forums, the issues I mentioned btw have since been fixed and textures have had some updates as well.

Picked it up since and doing my first filght over the Swiss Alps, I don’t have VR but I do use trackir and it’s very nice to fly that way because you keep looking around in this thing and the sensation of height is like no other aircraft, really enjoying that aspect of it even more so given I have a fear of heights and I can almost feel my legs turning to jelly when looking down.

When I use my cockpit quickview left/right though it doesn’t look out the cockpit however, it goes to a wingview looking into the cockpit from that respective side.
+1 on the texturing as well from me. It definitely needs some scuff marks and maybe oil stains on the engine parts and paint chips on the other surfaces, that would certainly make it feel a lot more real but other than that I can’t really fault it. Bottom line I certainly recommended it to anyone and given the price it’s a no brainer. Even if you think this isn’t your thing I reckon you’ll change your mind once your high up between some spectacular terrain, it’s a very unique experience.

Hello stefaandk

You need to download it again (Version 1.31).  Try from your original email link.

The developer is very responsive, and has fixed the camera views, and added other enhancements (better textures etc.)

I love the little aircraft, and do not regret purchasing it for the price.  Great for low and slow with TrackIR (VR would also be great).

I won't do a full review as it isn't worth it, as the aircraft is so simple.  Just to say I flies great and I don't have any issues with it.   I am glad to have it in the hangar.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Have to agree with the crowd. This ultralite is fun to fly and great for checking out your new airport from the air ..... real, real slowly.

Only negative is she loves to bounce on landing, even if you get lucky enough to gently let her down. Fixed this somewhat by changing some different bump settings in one of the *.cfg files. Name escapes me right now. Still can't stop laughing when I land her.

I'm gonna try taking her on some contracts in Skypark and Neofly. 20 lbs of a cash crop should help pay for the fuel and feed me a hot dog.

I absolutely love this little plane. I’m currently doing an “around the coast” tour of the UK with it in VR. It’s the ultimate sight-seeing vehicle, and an absolute delight to fly.

Had an email this morning saying that it has just had a substantial update. Cannot wait to try out the latest incarnation later today.

Changes / news in version 1.32:
- Rain effect on windows
- Icing on windows and airplane surface
- New modeled disc brakes
- Added power supply cable for landing light
- New parking brake control
- Windshield transparency and reflection adjusted (now more visible)
- Gauges glass reflection and  model depth adjusted (now more visible)
- Scratches added to rudder pedals
- Working suspension with remodeled frame attachement
- Stronger landing light
- Added NORMAL textures for carbon fiber dashboard and text on tires. Both is now plastic
- Optimalized 3D model for even higher FPS
Sounds:
- All switches will now click
- Mixture knob sound
- Parking brake lever sound
-Mechanical flaps sound (no servo anymore)
- Fuel cut off sound
- Throttle lever sound
- Fuel feed pump sound

I couldn't agree more.  Probably the best value for money purchase I have made.  I love it.

I will download the update as soon as I get in tonight.  The developer is superb on the official MSFS forum as well - very polite and responsive.

I don't have VR, but it is great with TrackIR for me.  Excellent for sight-seeing, low and slow, and handles nicely as you say.  I hope he has a go at another project this year.

Interesting. I'd like to get a plane like this for quick sightseeing flights. Could be nice over photogrammetry cities. Is this one better than the Aerolite 103? Any other ultralights out there I should consider? I only need one. 😉

You're right, two ultralites is one too many. I bought the Powersolo so I'm partial to that one. I could say the same thing if I had bought the Aerolite 103.

I watched videos on both and chose the Popwersolo cuz it looked a lot like the very first WWI fighters and has bigger tires. I'm sure the Aerolite 103 is as nice to fly.

I very nearly bought the ‘103 but, after reading around a bit, it seems that it is a bit buggy.  It’s also about a fiver more. I was a tad hesitant in buying the VGP, as it looks like it’s inherited the front cowling from a traction engine, particularly from the pilot’s perspective. However, I actually love it all the more now because of it’s quirky looks.

I’ve encountered no bugs whatsoever in this little beauty. Although landing it in a decent crosswind can be “interesting” 😂

After a bit of a game with MSFS refusing to look at the new, updated version, I finally managed to get it up and running. The improvements are very nice indeed. The developer has really put some time into it. It’s not the usual bug-squash, and omissions rectified, but more of a “loads of new features added”.

Both the throttle, and the flaps, are now on big, agricultural-looking levers, which is totally in keeping with the whole vibe of the thing.  And I inadvertently got to test out the raindrops effect by flying too high in the dark, and getting caught out by cloud. Fortunately, in VR it’s no trouble to lean left or right to maintain some kind of forward view.

Very pleased with the update. My favourite airplane just got even better 🙂

I am waiting on the marketplace as for the moment I can do low and slow in the Bleriot.

I will definitely pick it up once it hits the marketplace. The dev seems to be your classic self taught enthusiast, every time he learns how to do something or someone suggests an idea for an improvement he does a new release.  The thing keeps getting better every week.

OK found another YouTube review:  TL&DR summary, "textures need more work but fun and worth the price".

Revamped textures are looking fantastic. I tried to insert a picture, but am struggling.  Check out the last post here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/new-stol-aircraft-powersolo-for-fs2020/342804/147
