Keep the community folder as clean as possible. Move the addons you won't use in the next session to another folder on the same drive (in this way the moving process will take a tenth of a second).

It skips the intro videos, that's all. If you're still seeing them you haven't done it properly.

Edit: lower case l for launch

Isn’t that something we can disable anyway in the options menue? May give it a try anyway for my store version.

FWITW Right now I have other issues since I cannot even get MSFS started at all after I decided to do a clean reinstall on a brand new Samsung SSD. However, despite a 250Mbit download line it took me 12 hours so far without success. Yes, used Netlimiter. Yes, dropped a zendesk ticket. At my end MSFS seems to have problems with the downloaded files >700MB. Anything smaller downloads and decompressed just fine but those 1.9Gb chunks cause some hickups and either the files seemingly download for ages or decompression stalls. After closing MSFS, deleting the culprit file, restart MSFS and download and decompress the file again it sometimes works. But heck, after 12 hours I am still not done. Suggested to MS to cut those >700mb file into smaller chunks so my system can better swallow them. Will continue later todays once back home....

Loading times don't bother me. On my old PC I'll have the dishes done and the laundry squared away by the time the sim has loaded into the welcome screen.

So far these are the tricks I am aware of that would speed up the loading of the sim
- Use fastlaunch to skip the intros
- Use an addon manager to load only the addons you will need for that flight
- Uninstall any of the default planes you will never use
- Have the sim on an SSD, ideally an NVME type

With all the above it will still take at least 100 seconds from clicking the shortcut to get to the main menu, I wish this could be optimized further.

As Peroni says above, those are the most significant things to do really, and what ever else you do won't make much more of a difference.

Community folder size has the biggest impact for me (which is the best use of addon manager).
I use the fast launch, but because it doesn't do anything on screen then for quite a while, I am always wondering if it accepted the mouse click!

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Thank's Marc, lower case for l did the trick.
