New HUD?

Featured Replies

Check out laminar's last post on facebook and twitter.

Overall to me it appears they are rather starting to slowly release information about the next x-plane, first human atc, maybe now a new out of the box hud..probably keeping graphics for the big announcement.

That's how LR have done it in the past.  Particularly when a competing product has been released.  They wait for the hype of the competing product to subside, then drip feed images and news bits over the course of a few weeks/months.  It's going to get very, very juicy.

I wonder if it really refers to XP12 or not.

Anyway, having proper default HUDs would be nice. At present they're not collimated, hence hardly useful, say in VR. Months ago, I had an exchange of comments about that on the developer blog. Not the biggest priority for me, but having them working properly would be nice and show attention to details.

search xplane twitter

I don't find this post very news worthy. So they added a HUD on a default aircraft? So? Freeware addon developers upload this kind of stuff all the time and it hardly gets noticed. If the focus for XP12 is aircraft I find this very disturbing.
