This Could Inspire Me To Get MSFS

Featured Replies

I have a request from any MSFS pilot who gets a few spare minutes to check the following scenery out for me.

Elizabethville, Pennsylvania.

There is a small grass strip with a few hanger buildings at the west edge of Elizabetville, PA.       My hometown. It is located adjacent to US Route 209 on the north side of Berry Mountain.  I would consider it a great favor if an MSFS pilot could buzz over and tell me if it's there or not.

Strangely, this grass strip was present in FS8 and FS9 but not in FSX.

Thanks in advance to anyone who does this.

Gary

Does it have an ICAO code, Gary? Or can you give us the coordinates (since i can just copy paste them in the sim and spawn there)

He actually wrote "Harman" after the ICAO code. 🙂

To be honest, if it's just a basic strip and it's not there, you could probably add it yourself in about five minutes using the tools MSFS comes with.

Hey Gary

Yes it is here to land in lush Pa grass 😉 as seen in Pastaiolo's imgur shot above

The six or so hangars were not recognized as such by the AI so you have a row of bungalows instead in the North East side of the field. The windsock that can be easily seen on Google street view is not here either but the four white corners delineating the field are easily seen from above.

Just landed my cub also saw where the cemetery is !

It's so off topic I wasn't gonna say anything to contribute, but David edited his post. That's why Brandon's full quote doesn't include "Harman". Again, off topic, but David is trying to save face lol.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Sir, he probably had the page open, quoted, and took a minute to actually post. I've done that before.

In any case it's not a big deal. Also this grass strip looks awesome. MSFS really is a GA pilots dream.
