I think you're right they simply didn't know the issue was there and are very likely scrambling to discover its cause(s).  I think they clearly now know it needs fixed quickly, and I'll bet it will be--within a day or two most likely.

I really hope you are right my friend!

Having digs at people that the poster considers “friendly” aren’t necessarily taken in the same way. A significant number of people are frustrated with the performance of MSFS after the latest update.

Keep it civil please and try to understand that feelings are running high for those with problems with a sim that has been on the market for over six months.

So has there been an official word from Asobo/MS? Everyone should be voting on this topic on the official forums if you have not done so.

Voted and reported to Zendesk.

even though I found aircraft without glass cockpits do not demonstrate the really poor performance that I experienced with the TBM etc, with GA’s like the JF PA28, although it is indeed almost smooth with good FPS in the air, on short finals there were some really debilitating scenery stutters in two completely different airports.

Reported it to Zendesk.
Their advice was reduce render scaling to 80.... I guess it’s worth a try but really, far from satisfactory. I guess we should be glad at least that they’re looking at it and acknowledge it’s a Problem?

my rendering is down to 60 and still getting smashed with stuttering and low frame rates even in the C172 classic, having seen this before this last update

My return from them was to turn render scale Down to 80, strangely I told them, render scale does nothing to improve the problem.

Its an automated fob off reply.

Yea me too - just a fob off. RS at 80 makes absolutely no difference. Still in the teens - probably half the proper framerate.

There may be an issue is with glass cockpits - but that may not be the cause. Steam gauges will always be easier on frames ...

Oh well...

I definitely get the same issue with old gauges, maybe just not as severe since those are better on FPS.  I saw the issue with the stock 152 and see it a lot with the JF Arrow (which doesn't seem to be the cause, as it happens with other aircraft).  Flying a 152 around stock scenery that isn't very dense really highlights that there's an issue.  There's no reason for performance to tank, and it never did like this on my system until the latest patch.

Actually 80 makes it worse. The CPU has to do more work to re scale the res (in my case from 2k)
