May 2, 20215 yr The last 2 days I have had a couple of screen freezes. Today, I was flying the JF Arrow, and when I went to adjust the OBS, the screen just froze, mouse clicks didn't work or move, CPU went to about 6% with MSFS, and after I waited about 3 minutes I used Task manager to shut the program down. Anyone else see this? Everything else was running normally, Track IR, etc....

I had this a couple of weeks ago occasionally Bob, but in my case i just waited and it would recover. I don't have a clue what caused it, and in the way it just appeared, it has now gone again, with no further occurances. No I am not using the GTN, but I think I may have found he culprit. My Track IR which has to be around 13 years old at least, intermittently stops communicating with MSFS and at times freezes up. I just ordered a new one. Surprised that when I ordered it on their web site they said it would take 2-3 weeks to get it. They must be making them one at a time.

May 2, 20215 yr I have also have experience this on the week end. during the week I can run photogrammetry, but come the weekend I can't run it and it takes longer to load. I guess the server can't handle the load? 🚁 J. R. :ph34r:

May 2, 20215 yr Author I flew about 5 flights today with Track IR off, and zero problems. I hate flying without track IR, but I guess I will have to wait 3 weeks until they deliver me a new one.

May 3, 20215 yr Author Well I thought I had this problem solved with disconnecting Track IR which I am pretty sure is defective, but I had another screen freeze on approach to CYOW tonight just as i was going to turn onto the ILS. The engine sound continues, the screen freezes, but nothing else works, no control movement, you can't close the sim, have to use Task Manager to exit out of the program. I found 3 posts on the MSFS Official forum describing the exact same thing, and they also said that it happened on approach. Just another bug that wont' get solved i guess. In almost 300 hours of flying MSFS, this is something I have never seen before. Just in the last few days.
May 4, 20215 yr Author Happened again on the very next flight. On approach to CYTR, screen freezes, Arrow 3 engine running, CPU 8%, GPU %, MSFS just stops running, can't shut it down, have to use task manager to get it stopped. I think I am at the point where this is just unusable. Looks like this is going to happen on every flight.
