I am trying it again. So far so good. 

If it crashed after 5 mins of a new fresh install, am sorry to say it’s not MSFS. If it was everyone would have the same problem.

2 days ago I bought Death Stranding. 65GB install. It crashed the second it go to the menu screen. Tried 5 times and got runtime errors and a huge list of problems even pointing to windows hardware failures.

Deleted and reinstall. The same huge crashes. So I sent 2hours looking into it. Reinstall, done, runtime libs, no need there fine?, reinstall windows...really?......You know what the problem was? Using MSI afterburner and RTSS, turned them off and bingo 20 hours game time not one CTD. Who would of ever thought of that!

I wish I knew what you problem is Bob but since you have had it since you got your new PC, something is not right and it could be a small thing.
But if it was MSFS crashing every 5 mins no one would be even on theses forums.

Am sorry I cannot point a finger at what is the problem your end but there seems to be one, sadly.

Do you have all your USB plug-in plugged into USB 2 ?

I just called CLX Tech support, and the tech logged on to my PC. He updated the chipset drivers on the GPU and installed the latest driver, and so far so good, I am almost at the arrival airport. Fingers crossed. 

Well, I hope he has fixed it, but then at the same time many people here have been telling you it’s your PC for months and you have been adamant all along it was not.

Well I hope it’s fixed I really do.

Got to 100 Feet AGL and a CTD...... I am done with this sim. 

Dig out your old PC and install MSFS on that and see if the same thing happens.

I think I am going to get P3D again, and just spend a week or so loading all my stuff into it, and run that. I spent today reading on the MSFS forum all the reports of CTDs and some have even reinstalled windows and reinstalled MSFS twice, and still they are plagued with CTDs, and many of these are on new PCs. So many reports of CTDs on final approach, which is what happens to me most of the time. How on earth would the PC know you are on final approach????

Finally a successful flight. I took the Mooney instead of the Arrow. No problems. Will have to try that again tomorrow. 

Two 100 mile flights in a row with the Mooney. No problems. 

I tired 3 flights this morning in the Mooney, and back to 2 CTDs and a GPU Driver timeout. I called CLX tech support and they are shipping me a new GPU, which they suspect is causing my problems.

I suspect it has to do with more scenery loading close to the ground, which causes higher CPU/GPU usage. But just a guess.

O really...its bloody hard to try and help someone that as far as there are concerned there PC is fine ("its a new PC, nothing wrong with it") yes Bob I had to send my new PC back blar blar blar..... how many people have tried helping you and telling you there is something wrong and its not MSFS.....never again....never.
