May 6, 20215 yr I have had very good overall performance of late but this morning did Dusseldorf to Munchen in the Citation L and all was fabulous until 30m out or so from EDDM, during which erratic big FPS drops happen so aborted the flight before landing. This was to be an ILS approach and was only 10m out when I bailed. CPU/GPU loads were really modest at around 65%-70%, and I check the server which indicated 26ms or so on the west coast server. Any suggestions on ways to fix this, or is it a case of waiting until the developer fixes this? It's really a pretty area to fly into so very disappointing to abort. Just checking to see if I missed something on how to get around this show-stopper as I've seen little mention of it in recent threads. May 6, 20215 yr Author I thought all updates were unavoidable? When I started MSFS last evening there was a mandatory update, it downloaded 1Gb, but then there wasn't any 'installation' or list of updated features. I'll go back and have a look thanks Phil. Addendum: yep, it was installed. This was an area I had no problems flying thru previously, but it's been awhile since being back there. I guess it's going to be a case of waiting and hoping. May 6, 20215 yr I think MSFS can be random on these things sometimes I really do. You could to the same flight again and get a perfect flight. Why I have no idea. 🤥 You sound upto date to me. May 6, 20215 yr that's v1.15.10 I guess, just check your version number but that 1Gig fits the scheme. well, if that did not help maybe some more details would help: 3rd party scenery? I use Simwings EDDM and it's actually pretty smooth. but I am not running on ultra running multiplayer yes/no online ATC yes/no live traffic yes/no photogrammetry yes/no any other mods installed (disable them all) Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

Really I wasn't all that close to EDDM when the stutterfest began, and previously I had absolutely no problems in this area. My settings were such that GPU/CPU loading were really quite modest. And the first 200nm of that flight were flawless. Photogrammetry I've always left on, and I've been using offline windows text-to-speech, and live traffic as well. It's a real puzzle and we can only hope this gets sorted out at some point. Fortunately since solving the spinning load indicator I haven't had even one flight ending like the one did today. I'll try the same flight again another and see how it goes I love Bavarian scenery, especially down toward Fussen ;o) Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. May 6, 20215 yr I did a flight out of NY and the sim ran silky smooth and i was totaly blown away, got out in the middle of...nowere and got a stutter fest for 30 seconds. MSFS had nothing to draw apart from trees. So just put it down to....xxxx! David Murden. I was flying into KSBA the other day, and a good 25nm away from the ocean north of Santa Barbara flying over nothing terrain w/ hardly any buildings etc we got the same stuttering despite bigtime CPU/GPU/VRAM headroom. It's a mystery but fortunately is 'mostly' fine currently. May 6, 20215 yr Not sure this has something to do with EDDM. I flew LOWI to EDDM several times in the last few days with the A320NX and the CRJ and EDDF to EDDM with the 787 and everything was normal.

Some are affected more than others; a particular flight plan goes well one day and extreme stutters the next day. Turning down / off options seem to have no effect; the random stutters are there regardless. I can get by with flying tropical / island destinations....but cities or dense / populated areas are a no go until Asobo finds a fix for what they broke.
May 6, 20215 yr Author Seems about right FlyB--since SU3 things got stranger, though have improved since the initial FPS drop problem appeared.
