I just thought of the silliest mods for MSFS

I'm all up for anything that extends the options to move around in the sim world. A full avatar mode would be great - wander around the terminals etc. Links to tie in with the car/truck/rail simulators - bring it on!

Not sure about working the truck that empties out the loos on arrival though. Might be taking things a step too far.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Such a product would also help the music world too, and here's why...

When I was working at Aviator and doing headset training, the splitter box for the headphones broke and this was preventing me from continuing with getting signed off on that, so I too the splitter box home to fix it, which was easy enough, the small nut which fastened the headphone jack into the box had come off and so the jack socket had popped inside the housing of the splitter box. I simply took one of these nuts off one of my electro-acoustic guitar jack sockets, and used that to fix it, with the intention of taking it back off and sticking it back on my guitar after I no longer needed to be monitored on that splitter box for training, however, I forgot to do that and presumably that nut off my guitar is still on that box at Aviator (now Stobart Aviation) at Manchester.

This wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't for that fact that shortly after, I was plugging that electro-acoustic in and forgot that nut was missing, so the socket disappeared inside the body of the guitar. It took a right load of faffing to get the socket back through the hole, but I got there in the end. Bloody airliners.

What about a marshaller mod? It would be a way to use the Reverb G2 controllers 🙂

I did a lot of marshalling in my USAF career and I always found it to be fun. I would love something like this as part of GSX or whatever. Probably wouldn't be worth the money as a stand-alone product, though...

How bout an NTSB crash investigator mod, where you'd get $1 per case for every time that someone's crashed in the sim...I'd probably be able to retire in grand style 🙂

What I would like to see is the human body as an airplane. Serious, (will need an avatar character though) so in multiplayer you can choose 'skydiver with parachute' as airplane. Then you and friends can hop in someone else's plane and go for an skydive adventure.

I have a suspicion that FS2Crew's Pushback Express might eventually incorporate something along the lines of being able to drive the pushback tug. You can already control it yourself from the external view, and so SDK permitting, it doesn't seem that much of a stretch to make it a driveable vehicle with a cab.

so I wasn't that silly after all ? that's a first

Well if you really think about it, we have real people flying the plane (you), real people handling ATC (Vatsim controllers), so yeah, why not also online ground services too?

Online flight attendants anyone...? Ok, maybe that's getting silly..... but imagine that. 🙂
