Is it possible to enter gps coordinates into the fms? So far I have tried both 6115N and 61N015W, but neither seem to be accepted as waypoints.

No, I don't think so.

I totally appreciate the work you guys put into this project! A FMS in the Lear is really a step forward, unless someone uses the GTN750 🙂 but with all respect to my collegue Captain Joe, I do not und

Soon the website will have an export option for our format. For now use the Quality Wings RTE. Also you can change the name from EGLLEFHK01.RTE to EGLL-EFHK.RTE ......both names will work. P

I am having fun playing with this!

Is there any documentation on the CRS button? When I press on or try to rotate it I cannot see any change on any of the displays.

The course knob changes the displayed course information (arrow or digital readout) on all the HSI displays:  HSI,  ARC and MAP.

From page 8 of the FMS manual:

5. Pilot course knob (Left and Right Click or Mouse Wheel). Pushing (Middle Mouse Wheel) the course direct
knob aligns the course needle to point directly to the tuned VOR station. The pilot course knob only controls NAV
1 source.
6. Copilot course knob (Left and Right Click or Mouse Wheel). Pushing (Middle Mouse Wheel) the course direct
knob aligns the course needle to point directly to the tuned VOR station. The copilot course knob only controls
NAV 2 source.

Hi guys,

I am considering buying the FMS expansion for Lear. Does it support RNAV approches yet?

Cheers

No, not with vertical guidance which I assume is what you are asking about.

Bug alert, I think: I have noticed that when flying West in FMS mode, the CDI indication on the HSI is 'backwards'. That is, if you are North of the desired course while flying West, the CDI is deviated to the right instead of to the left. This is likely a simple sign error in the code. The MAP display, however, is correct.

I'll report this potential CDI bug to Mark at FSW, but would also appreciate hearing if others are seeing this. I think the other 'directions' are OK, but let me know if you see something similar with the CDI when flying North, South or East.

Thx,

Al

Did this never get fixed?  I think I have the latest version of the L35 and the FMS, and I see the HSI is reverse-sensing.

Bob,

I thought that was fixed, but don't really recall for sure now. I will ask Mark.

I have no idea I do not remember any of the stages but we did keep getting Ernie to improve the code. I also do not get reports of this bug for sure.

Bob,

I'm going to try and ask some other FMS users if they are having this CDI problem.

OK...it's only occurring when I have FMS selected as the nav source and HSI as the display.  The Arc and map modes work normally.

Bob,

I went back and fired up P3Dv5 again, downloaded the latest FMS version 1.5, and I also still see that bug, so I assume it did not get fixed, don't know why not. I'll let Mark know. Unfortunately the FMS was coded by a contractor so it may be a challenge to get this fixed quickly at this point in time.
