Default Atlanta bleed through with Imaginesim Atlanta

Featured Replies

Seeing Imaginesim doesn't doesn't have a forums I figured I ask here. I have the Imaginesim Atlanta installed but I see the default MSFS2020 Atlanta bleed through. I see it on all the ground markings, taxi ways, runways, wind socks, etc. Do we have to disable the default scenery? If I do disable the default do I loose anything in the scenery?

Default, or USA World Update Atlanta?

You can delete the USA World Update Atlanta through the content manager (or move the folder out of the official folder)

Default Atlanta I have no clue.

It's the USA World Update Atlanta which I called the default seeing it comes with MSFS2020.

It doesn't come with the sim. you need to download the World Update separately from the Marketplace, so it isn't default.

But yeah, just delete it from your content manager and that should fix it.

So are you guys saying the only way to use the Imaginesim ATL is to delete the USA World update?  That would be disappointing as other places such as DFW were also updated in this patch.  You can't just disable the atlanta portion of the update?

You can delete just the airport.

World Update airports are individual entries in the content manager.

Basically anything in the install folder with its own folder is a package in the content manager.

They can be reinstalled with the content manager as well.

@Tuskin38  Excellent thanks.  I haven't even bought imaginesim yet.  Haven't decided which one is better

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I would contact Imaginesim through their contact adres.

I dont own this add on, but this thext would make me hesitant.

All you need to do is from within MSFS navigate to your Content Manager. Search for Atlanta or KATL. It should show two entries, one from Asobo and one from Imaginesim. From there you just click on the one from Asobo and delete it. This will uninstall just Asobo's USA World Update KATL only. Now your simulator will just show your Imaginesim Atlanta.

You'll need to do this for any freeware or payware scenery you install where there is already an Enhanced Airport from Asobo.

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

I don't have the Asobo listed in the Content Manager so I must have deleted it in the past.  I flew into Imaginesim today and saw all the double markings mentioned.  After the flight, I went into the content manager and all it had under ATL was Imaginesim and the entire World Update 2.  Any thoughts on what I can do?

Go into the Content.xml file (same location as your Community folder) and find KATL in the list and make sure it has "active=false".  If it says "true" just change it false and save.  I think that is what I had to do as I was having the same issue...

Thanks.  Would I want to make sure all 3rd party airports I have in here also say false as well?

Imaginesim KATL is the only airport I ever had to do it for and I have a good amount of airport addons...
