Pet Peeves of mine

Recommended Posts

The 80's were cool, better than today.

What gets me is in the latest builds, the ATIS seems to be borked.  It will say "weather not available at this airport" when I'm tuned to the ATIS frequency.

I got so fed up with the default weather system that I went out and purchased REX Weather Force, since it's only money, and I might as well try something different/have options.

My biggest pet peeve are the runway lights and beacon that are always on, day and night, rain and shine, in sickness and in health. It seems like it should be such a simple fix, yet here we are a year later... And also the lights on other planes that show through clouds.

good point actually, does seem simple

also so does a simple FPS counter and Sim Rate indicator, both of which seemed to cause confusion with in the last video interview with the development team, I mean had to have used FSX at least at one time, right?...   right?

Maybe someone could figure out how to have an on-screen display (toggled on/off) for sim rate or other things.  I use Sim Rate Bandit, and it's nice with the voice cues, but an option for visual toggle would be nice to have.

- Can't look at CG% once flight has started.

I'm pretty sure if you open the weights/fuel sub-window in flight, and grab the right and edge/corner of that sub-window, you can expand it to the right and show the CG location part of the window which is present in the main menu before you start a flight.  The content is there, but the window is not sized to show it by default.

Pity I don't have a Windows key on my Focus 2000 keyboard.  Love the feel of the keys but it is a vintage keyboard after all.

Correct

Where can I the sim rate in game bar? It shows my FPS, but I don't see an option for the sim rate (i.e. whether or not I'm using time acceleration in MSFS)

I don't see it either, and with the gamebar up, you can no longer control the aircraft.
