Weird I know.  This is being discussed on that other board right now.

I tried it, expecting nothing.  Set TAA render resolution at 200 (yes 200) for the 2D panel (for me up from 100).  Leave VR TAA at 100 and OpenXR at 100 (where I had it).

Fly in VR.  Clarity is noticeably better.  For me the G3X in the xcub was a clear improvement, as were the ESC menus in VR.  Not degradation in repro or frames (qualitative).

Makes no sense, I know.  At least try it before you flame me.

10900k, 3090, 4k panel (2D), G2 (via WMR / OpenXR).  v107 OpenXR a couple days ago, so it wasn't that.

I read the same but hesitated to post. You're a braver man than me 😃.  I've been busy all day so will give it a go tomorrow.  One thing I have noticed is that if I set VR render scale above 100 it gets reset back to 100 subsequently.  I wonder if this is a back door to increase VR scaling although people are reporting no performance hit so probably not

As posted over there no difference at all for me, could be a combo of my settings, hardware and/or VR software usage. I'm reluctant to spend hours fiddling around to only gain very little or nothing at all, good if it works for others though.

Yeah I get the reset-to-100-thing also. The improvement is subtle but there. Hope I didn’t waste anyone’s time.

And no, I’m not surprised by anything done by those interns that wrote the VR code.

Just tried it. I don't think I can see any difference so far, but thanks for the tip

It works very well for me! Everything is much more smoother and crisper. OXR and VR TAA in game at 100. 2d in game render scale at 200.

Did you use it with a 1080 or a 4K monitor and is there a difference? I am 1080 monitor now, but will change to ultrawide monitor later this week (hardware wise difficult in my case) and then will try.
