Looking for a floatplane

Featured Replies

Hey fellow simmers,

On the lookout for a decent floatplane, anything of value out there at this time (freeware or payware)

Thanks.

I HIGHLY recommend both FlySimWare’s Grumman Widgeon as well as BlackBox Cessna L-19!

Does this one have analogue gauges also or just G1000 suite?

I would agree with the 172 mod and the FSW Widgeon. If you have prem deluxe, you can use the 172 amphib with steam gauges. There are two versions to download, one with the G1000 and one with steam.

There's two versions, one for the standard G1000 Cessna, and the other one for the one with with steam gauges.

Perfect, I much prefer the steam gauge c172... I’ll give this a try tonight!

fair enough

TBH water effects do not bother me as (with the exception of making the odd video)  I never leave the cockpit so unless they are implemented in multiplayer (highly unlikely)  I am never going to see them

Yea float-planes are awesome, I luv all things bush flying related, I'm new to FS2020, but I had a Maule float on XP, & I remember on the old FSX there was a Dehaviland Beaver which was excellent also. If I'm not mistaken I think there is a C172 float in the marketplace section of FS2020, but it's a older model aircraft.

Well the Xcub is one of the ones getting floats (and skis) in a future update.

I don't know about the 172, but they said a few of the base planes would be getting them, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Awesome, once I figure out to download rest of the FS software, I'll check that out, thanks.
