We are talking about the sensation of inertia in the simulator as we would just like to see it improved. I take it you are trying to make a joke? Or maybe just don't like any criticism of the sim? The one criticism I have of MSFS vs RW is the lighting on the buildings, always seems so dark, if they can modify that a bit it would make a big difference. You can also really see the difference in tree size in this comparison, smaller trees in MSFS is another thing that will help make the comparison even better....and it is great already. Did you also notice that you can hardly distinguish any trees beyond a 5 mile radius. I9-14900K, Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD

I take it you are trying to make a joke? Or maybe just don't like any criticism of the sim? What I find strange is the complaint that anyone running a simulation on a computer anchored to the ground, is unable to feel a sense of inertia (i.e. G-forces). Isn't this a case of belaboring the obvious? No sim program, even those on multimillion-dollar professional simulators, can do this. I just fail to see the point. Edited June 26, 20214 yr by cobalt

Yes it jiggles, so does it in real life but ingame you can't really feel the difference between an empty or a fully loaded, heavy plane. In real life you feel like being a part of the plane....one of the first things i learned back in my gliding days was to use my "Popometer" which in english might be something like "Buttmeter" (If this is a word...) to feel the planes motions. This of course (and this is not a complaint) is missing in MSFS. But i agree that the overall feeling is quite good! Are you guys referring to the “bumps” ? … those tell tale building cumulus clouds are almost 100% indicator of bumps. But even on the clearest of days, the bumps can occur. Yes, the sim does not do a good job of a severe bumpy flight. The up and down movement is not quick and abrupt enough. On the other hand, if the airplane in the sim did a 100% accurate job of the bumps, many may complain the aircraft is not flying properly. I used video from a very smooth flight, just an occasional gust. I can tell you that video from certain previous trips to the Falls would be unusable for a smooth video comparison. I clearly stated that it is no complaint. We were just talking about an issue and i have no clue what might be a problem with that. Just walk on by if its something you're not interested in. Thanks. The video you did is great! My point actually was that the real world footage with all its bumps and movement looks more natural and dynamic than the sim. Even though MSFS is way better than other sims. But still there is something missing... But it might be just impossible to translate a dynamic athmosphere (and flying through it) into a PC Game. And in the end of the day i'm totally ok with that. Best regards, Tom Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! I think we are all in agreement that this "issue" is one that is common to all flight sims and always will be. That being the case, I am still not sure why this was raised at all, but that's just me I guess. Happy flying!
