DC-6 and my appalling performance

For those kind souls who are following this thread and offered some advice, I have just run the ultimate test.... no AI, no online functionality, all settings set to low and still I only get 25fps sat at the end of the runway at Gatwick.!!!!!!!!! Please, no one tell me to tweak settings! 😏 I have another post on the PMDG with no further resolution. This is extremely frustrating.

do you use maybe geforce settings???

settings for videocard also can have influence, sync settings etc.

but yes you should get much better.

Delete your nvidia profile. Reset global profile in nvidia control panel.

Thanks Rob, already done this... the one thing i haven't done though is reinstall a new NV driver. I will try that, although I don't think that will have any influence.

Try that. Also, what scores are you getting from benchmarks? Do we know if this is isolated to MSFS or not?

sat at the end of the runway and report back your findings, with high settings?

Howard,

Been out in the sun for a few hours, only saw this now.

Ready at 09R I get between 32-34, depending of whether I look straight ahead or slightly right towards the terminals. Once airborne it's the same as at EKCH, 40-42 fps. I see others have mentioned driver version, I'm on 471.11 with no GeForce stuff installed.

That's very helpful Søren and much appreciated. Those are the kinds of fps I'd have expected from my rig, not down to 21! Really don't know where to go with this. I have been trying to get some sense over on the PMDG forum, but with no luck. I think I will open an offical support ticket and see where that goes. Having said that, there may be something else at play here, but if there was, I would have expected to see things being affected elsewhere and I'm not, it's only with the DC-6.

Strange how it only seems to be you having issues. My set up is no where near your specs, with no issues at all... Anywhere !

It is very frustrating. I've exhausted everything so far so unsure now which way to go, especially after Sierra Delta reports 70% performance gain on mine with a similar scenario and rig. I've seen proper fps, up above 30 with the aircraft, it's just very odd whenever I then go to fly at any other time it's back down to 21/22fps, so I know it's something very odd going on. I've spent the best part of two days trying all manner of things without any success.
