Hi

Mir had posted this in the FlightBeam Forum:

Hi all, thanks for your feedback!
Nothing has changed since the original announcement, this product is still coming to P3D as well.

Hi

Yes, I know it is coming in P3D as well, but I wonder if it will be P3Dv5 only or coning for P3Dv4 (4.5) as well... Mir once said it will be P3Dv5 only and later reconsidered his decision...

Curious, what could be potential issues that preclude using it in P3D V4.5? I thought the issue was more between going from V4 to V5, because the latter includes updated default scenery that would need a different ("bigger") exclude file. The other way it shouldn't matter as much to exclude more than there is, but I could very well be mistaken.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback.
I never posted any intention of commitment to any platform when announcing any product. The sim world is very fluid and things change all the time.
At the current time of this posting, P3Dv4 users represent an extremely small fraction of our userbase. It takes a considerable amount of time developing an airport for a specific platform, so it's natural to only focus on the platforms the users are currently on.

With that said, v5 and v4 are still similar when it comes to file structures, so it's possible it will work to some degree in P3Dv4.

That's what Mir said back in April. I'm praying he's changed his mind since...

Good.   News.

How long we been waiting??

Relax everyone. It was confirmed to me on the FB Facebook page that NZAA will work on P3Dv4.

Good reason for delay, Auckland Airport Terminal was at the beginning of a terminal upgrade around the time a scope of the airport by FB was to commence.  On a positive note, Flightbeam devs were given open access to the whole airport to take photo's,.

Correct. The Flightbeam team were planning a survey of the airport back then but due to the construction work they delayed it.

I have been waiting for this scenery a loooooong time and it luckily it coincides with my round-the-world flight which at the present time I'm in Japan so I'll be heading south quite soon!

Just another FYI, Flightbeam are running a screenshot competition for those interested and NZAA is up for grabs. More info here:

Good luck!

Yes NZAA Auckland will be the jewel in the crown. For New Zealand we now have all the major airports covered:
NZWN Wellington - Flightbeam & Godzone.
NZCH Christchurch - Godzone
NZDN Dunedin - Godzone
NZQN Queenstown - ORBX

The ORBX North and South Islands now give a good mesh and some detail to other provincial airports.

So come fly and explore New Zealand, either online via VATNZ, or offline. Some great scenery with perfect sector lengths.

Cheers
