Edinburgh EGPH released.

Recommended Posts

My local airport Edinburgh has just been released. My first airport from Pyreegue Dev Co. and really impressed with what they have delivered. Even better than the original Orbx release for XP11. Superb detailing.

I got it and loaded it up before I came in to work.  It looks really good.

Commercial pilots have a handy way of remembering the difference between Edinburgh & Glasgow:

(EG) PH - Posh House

(EG) PF - Poor F***ers

Not so much about now though 🤣

It was 47 degrees C (in the full sun), 27 in the shade earlier in the week and has been consistently over 20 degrees (shade) over the past week. Maybe not the Cote D'Azure, but anything but cold!

I still think their pricing is out of line for MSFS and still going with the FSX/P3D pricing model.  Maybe in future if they have a sale.

It's pricey, no doubt, but this is the one time I'm making an immediate purchase and not waiting for a review or price drop,

"Blue Peter" the (fibreglass) Spitfire gate guardian is looking a bit grubby in the screenshot. Admittedly, with Covid restrictions in place, it's over a year since I've been past it, but it was looking fine when I last saw it. In fact, being fibreglass, I would be surprised if it ever looked that if the paint were worn through.🤔

Is Pyreegue the best scenery developer for MSFS?

You know what? I think so:

He is. His EGPH has already been one of the very best on v1, now v2 seems absurdly good.

The announcement of a version 2 of this airport by Pyreegue is the only reason why I have not purchased version 1. Really looking forward to this, as Edinburgh is one of my favourite airports.

Oh wow, I didn’t know there was a v2 coming.  Looks amazing!  Hard to believe he could improve on the original but there ya go!
