Ugh, horizon haze is still the same it seems.

Horizon haze is gone with the very latest build, but I have very sharp changes in visibility  within FL050-FL100, something that I haven't experiencing since P3Dv3

I would not count on this, because in the ToDo- listing of the MSFS-team, there is a wishlisting which is called "open Weather-system for 3rd-party devs, But it´s "not planned" so far.

Damian himself said in a thread in the MSFS forum here they were working on it despite the fact that Asobo was not opening weather in the SDK. Do you think I post without facts?

Eric, did I say anything about it? I don´t think so. But you resumed that HiFi isn´t prioritizing the development for P3D, because they working more on MSFS, which just can´t be the case. I know what Damian said, but actually it doesn´t seem to be in fact, as MS has no plans yet to open the SDK for weather. I think the reason for actual lack of development everywhere is that much of all the people are on hollidays?

Any news on ASCA being updated?

thanks

Have you tried Sky force for your clouds yet?  If not I recommend trying.  The cloud structures look much better.  But obviously still paired with active sky for the engine.  EA off for me, and pascal for sky colors.

No I haven’t yet, is it compatible with 5.2?

I do have pascal photoreal sky textures.

how do you set it up?

Do you use envshade preset by pascal also with sky force?

thanks

I'm using rex skyforce in 5.2.  I mean I just selected some cloud types I liked in the application and injected them into the sim.  I don't actually run the skyforce app anymore.  Then envshade.  I have HDR off.  Vol clouds and EA off.  I haven't tried the evshade preset yet by pascal.  I need to.  have been on limited time.  but to me the repetitive look of asca clouds grew old.  I was immediately surprised how much better the rex clouds look.  Only thing however I've found is that performance is worse slightly with rex clouds.  But you know how this hobby goes.  Always tinkering back and forth with things.

What 3d cloud settings  and cirrus clouds do you use for skyforce?

with pascal are you using photoreal?

thanks
