Am useing to test the most FPS friendy VC I know. LOD200 LOD 400 So please show me a system that can up that and only lose 5 FPS. Edited July 28, 20214 yr by Nyxx David Murden. July 28, 20214 yr I have increased LODs to high values like 800/600 but I don't see much improvement in trees/objects drawing distance. Flying with the TBM 930 in KFHR-KSEA-KTIW area, I did not experience much performance loss either. I'm not yet sure how do interpret this, but at least I have a very good performance, no stutters and barely noticeable pop-ins. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

Trees drawing distance improved from 6 nm to maximum 8 or 9 nm when I changed LOD from 200 to 600 or 800. London could be a different story. I'll try tomorrow. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

FPS 60's What's the frame rate hit if you increase lod from 200 to 500? Also if I may ask, why are you even doing this ? Default lod looks acceptable IMO. People just love to mess stuff up in cfgs thinking it's fsx and then whine on forums if they get ctds (not talking about you). Increasing lods like this and tinkering with cfg files should be discouraged. But as they say, old habits die hard. I set Terrain and objects in the IserCfg.opt like this prior to posting my screenshots. {Terrain LoDFactor 4.000000 } {ObjectsLoD LoDFactor 4.000000 I changed Render level to 130% but trees still finished early. This time I had a CTD. Set Render level back to 100 percent, rebooted and I have trees way out in the distance, even on distant hills! The CTD did me a favour!
