That 'passenger list' made perfect sense, Ray.  As you say...L.M. better not send me a fuel bill.....(smile).

In 1985 at the Live Aid concert Phil Collins performed at Wembley then hopped in Concorde and performed in Philadelphia later in the day.

Try that in a Boeing or Airbus and everyone would have been home by the time he got there. 🤣

I have my FPS locked outside P3D in the nVidia set up mask, and with E.A. on, but with 2D Legacy clouds in play, and the latetst ASP3D  I keep at 29-to my locked 33 FPS with absolutely RAZOR sharp ground terrain,  roadways and clover leaf's perfectly formed, and all this at speeds of 120 knots and as low as 500 feet ground sweeping to my normal G.A. cruise of 3,500 asl.   Try  setting your internal to 120 FPS, and lock down with nVidia at 33 (important that 33 and not 30). Try that, and see how that goes.  I think you will like the performance for the change up.

I've taken your advice.  I always did a 30 limitation in Nvidia and Unlimited in the sim.  It has worked "relatively" well but does occasionally end up with stuttering and I have to change the time to get back to normal.  Tonight I did a 33 in Nvidia and set the sim to 120.  I flew a direct flight from Allentown, Pa (my home base airport) to Cleveland and it was a very smooth unstuttering flight.  It may be just a fluke or a coincidence or whatever, but I will continue to test this kind of weird miniscule change to see if it really is a Eureka moment. Thanks for the tip.  I hope you've stumbled upon something here.  It seems just too simple.

Hi Ray, is the FSL Concorde still on for release in P3D V5.x?

FSL Airbus series is seminal ... the engine audio is so perfect, I don't know how or who Lefteris got to do the audio work, but big kudos!

Cheers, Rob.

As far as I know Rob. They haven’t released any news on progress for months and polite enquiries on the forum are met with silence. That’s the way they operate.

Back on topic.

FPS are incredible. Flying over KLAX area with the FSL A320X with sliders VERY far right . Barely a stutter and FPS 30+ consistent. Even with about 35% car traffic on all those roads!. Yes i do have the latest CPU (I9 1190K) and an 11GB 1080TI ( good for the VRAM issues) .

In contrast , 4.5 in the same scenario , FPS barely in mid 20's stutter and lag and this is with the CPU overclocked to 5.1 GHZ.

DX12 is a game changer and FINALLY we can run the most demanding payware planes into major hubs with smooth performance.

Back to Concorde (very quickly). Way back in the 70s when I was but a little'un, I was on a trip to Rolls-Royce's test facility at Filton (my friend's dad was an engineer there so he got us on it). Apart from seeing some engine tests including a Pegasus test, there was a Concorde parked on the ramp there - not sure if it was a prototype or an actual serving aircraft - and we got to go on board. So I've sat in the (1970's era) seats and looked out the tiny window. But I never got to fly on one. That would have been something special.

And back on topic... the last few days I've been practicing a flight from Alesund Vigra Airport in Norway to Manchester. I have ORBX's EU Norway, their Alesund, True Earth GB, and UK2000 Manchester. I have basically all reflections and shadows turned on, water ultra, sliders mostly far right, full AI traffic, and I'm getting 30FPS (not 100% stable, but 25-30FPS 90% of the time). Norway looks spectacular, as does the Cheshire countryside on the way down. No, it's not MSFS, but I'll tell you what - with all the shadows and reflections on and a good PBR airport, things look very MSFS-like in terms of that particular 'look' which I now think comes mostly from the lighting. Not as much detail in the autogen etc, but hell, P3D has never looked better for me and it flies well with few if any stutters.

5.2 is the version we needed 3 years ago.

Temporary sim: 9700K @ 5GHz, 2TB NVMe SSD, RTX 3080Ti, MSFS + SPAD.NeXT

I discovered that by using 33 FPS in the nVidia FPS mask, instead of 30 and 120 inside the sim has always given me a smooth flight and animation advancement.  Call it my 'lucky Vegas  33' cocktail.  Glad you also have the same experience, and when I have posted this in the past, all other respondents to the thread also enjoyed what you did, Spilok.  Glad I posted again, then. 🙂 Cheers!

If it were just silence; I have seen threads with polite enquiries being locked or deleted.

Not the slightest improvement for me. Going back to 30 and unlimited!

The last one that included sarcasm from a staffer was later deleted after I suggested people come here if they want to discuss it.
