August 3, 20214 yr Since the recent "update" I have noticed that the key I used to deploy the spoilers no longer has an effect. I have checked the assignments, and it is still listed, but if I use it, I can see the spoiler lever jiggle a little but doesn't actually move. Any thoughts?

I think it would be helpful to know what plane, or planes if more than one, you are talking about. Al Edited August 3, 20214 yr by ark

Have same issue... the / key likely another bug... SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.
August 4, 20214 yr Author This is in the 747, but I believe similar happens in other aircraft. Will have to double check.
August 4, 20214 yr I have seen this reported quite a bit since SU5, so yes, probably just another bug unfortunately. There are quite a lot of regressions this time with graphics settings and cockpit camera movement not working properly etc. It's a shame. Searched airports are now not saving on the map screen again I notice. It isn't the fact that things like this are happening, but the fact that we have seen a lot of these issues before, and they were fixed once. It is almost like they accidentally pulled them in from an old build. I just don't know what to think at the moment. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. August 6, 20214 yr Author Yes, I've since tried it in other aircraft with the same result. I've never been able to access their forums, so I don't know if I can report this issue.
August 6, 20214 yr Similar experience. Installed Update 5, all good. Launched MSFS the next day and my entire installation (including the MSFS folder) was gone, re-installed and found my quick-view custom shortcuts didn't work at all. Rebooted: same. Rebooted again and had most working but I simply cannot get NumPad 5 to work (works on a text file, so neither keyboard or NumLock at fault). Dunno.
August 6, 20214 yr same in Longitude generally no spoilers but occasionally they work. August 6, 20214 yr It's not that the keyboard assignment has got lost; the "toggle spoilers" functionality, or linkage to it, is broken / flaky at its core. So if you find the keyboard assignment is failing then trying to assign "toggle spoilers" to a button on a joystick will manifest the exact same problem. Confirmed with various aircraft.
August 6, 20214 yr Author I couldn't use them in flight, then they autodeployed on landing, and autoretracted as well as I slowed down. I don't have joystick buttons and use the key.
