August 6, 20214 yr yeah, if companies are so threatened by this, then release your program already or show some progress at least. I will gladly pay for a good working ai addon and have been waiting since day one. Every time someone decides to help out with the ai problem and put in a lot of working doing it then they get shut down. This would probably make people not bother making anything more for ai traffic and we will all suffer for that. When did free planes and flight plans become such a hot commodity to fight over?
August 6, 20214 yr Okay I get now they are suspended because they have used AIG flightplans but they have suspended this one https://flightsim.to/file/18285/easy-airlines-aircraft-matching-with-default-live-traffic ? That one doesn't include models or whatsoever, then what is the reason? Sorry to say that but I am kinda of fed up from all these freeware drama :/. It has modified IVAO files which is against IVAO's policy IIRC. Edited August 6, 20214 yr by Tuskin38
August 7, 20214 yr Quote Freeware Freeware is software distributed at no cost to the user. Copyright owners have the exclusive right to distribute copies of their work. However, copyright law does not require that copies be sold for a price. Thus, copyright law protects freeware, and its use is governed by a license. Typical freeware licenses dictate that users may not modify the software or sell copies to others. Here a snip from AIG readmes: Quote IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: This package, and its contents, can not be redistributed in any way without the author's explicit and written permission. Making it clear, that the user gets the product for free, but has no right to redistribute it or its content. Here the statement from AIG regarding "not granting premission for 3rd party developers": https://www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php?topic=36552
August 7, 20214 yr one year waiting for AIG ia trraffic mod and there is nothing, only testing testing and more testing. This guy have made loosing his free time the miracle for entire community and is sharing it for free until AIG will release (we hope) his traffic mod By the way i am glad i have the last version of this mod and is a total pleasure to fly in all countries that have been covered by this mod Now thanks to AIG .... MSFS live traffic is dead again for the people that couldn't download it ............... thanks a lot AIG Edited August 7, 20214 yr by motishow
August 7, 20214 yr Author This is the second time that a decent AI mod for MSFS is removed because the author failed to ask AIG for permission to use the FPs. At least this author gave credit to AIG. IMHO, that's good be enough for me, but authors have to abide by certain rules and for that the flightsim community suffers. I'll second the, thank you AIG. MSFS
August 7, 20214 yr Having the legal right to do something is not always the same as "doing the right thing". Let's be thankful that we have so many decent freeware developers who are doing their valuable work just for the benefit of the community and often gladly work together with other freeware developers fuss-free combining their efforts for the benefit of all. Fortunately there are many examples of these to see on flightsim.to. Edited August 7, 20214 yr by RALF9636

Plus it's basically just 1 person working on converting everything to MSFS. Edited August 7, 20214 yr by Tuskin38
