August 18, 20214 yr 9 hours ago, Glenn Fitzpatrick said: It is entirely to do with the MS update process. The updates have to be finalised then submitted to MS for approval. Microsoft then check for any issues that do not meet their marketplace requirements. These requirements in some cases may have changed since the original product was released. If they have issues it is sent back to the developer and delayed further. If it does meet approval it must then wait anything from 1 to 7 days for the next weekly update before being available to users. Even then it is not automatically updated the user needs to go onto the content manager and manually download it. Of course where there are issues or delays the main forums get quite abusive to the developer whereas in reality the root cause of the delays is usually the convoluted and slow MS update process. Unfortunately, this glacial debacle doesn’t have any QC and developers are allowed to publish shoddy and/or incomplete work, as long as MS gets it’s percentage. This effectively renders MSFSMP impotent. Of course, the XBox market has to rely on it, and so, our concerns are really a non-issue fiscally. Ah well- ‘‘tis what it is. C Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
August 19, 20214 yr @Microsoft, @Asobo or @Carenado Can you please provide any update on the update for the Carenado products? If the issue is squarely on MS/Asobo’s shoulders, it would be great to flesh that out directly. That way, at least the non X-Box crowd could vote with their wallets and avoid MSFSMP henceforth. Thanks! C Edited August 19, 20214 yr by cavaricooper Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

Thanks! C I posted this yesterday on another thread. This was on their Facebook page yesterday. Carenado· UPDATES We continue working to fix the problems in our aircraft that arose with MSFS2020 Update 5. We hope that these updates will be available in the next days. We are sorry for the inconvenience, thank you for your patience.
August 19, 20214 yr Thanks Bob- I was looking for clarification from @Carenado which would put the issue squarely in @Asobo’s corner - unfortunately your quote is non-committal and leaves the burden unassigned. C Edited August 19, 20214 yr by cavaricooper Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

C I received and email from Carenado almost 2 weeks ago which basically said the same thing. I don't think after sales support is high on their priority list.

August 19, 20214 yr I am having so many issues with all of this Marketplace... here's why... If MS/Asobo do no regulation on the products in Marketplace, which they state, then they should be able to upload them immediately they receive them as if it was any web source. If MS/Asobo do regulate at all.. then they have a responsability to ensure they all work after the update. (which they say they won't) The problem is that once submitted, they encrypt them to go in the core files (which on at least two occaisions has broken a working add-on) so that they can be downloaded for XBOX. (which to my mind is regulating the product) What needs to happen is for MS/Asobo to automate the process to add them to core files (and if they can't it's badly designed) so that a dev can submit it to the process and then have it automatically updated there and then. What they have now is driving people away big time from the Marketplace. I know of many add-ons that are now 4 weeks behind what is available on the website.. BTW.. allowing all the Marketplace updaters to go on holiday at the same time (current excuse) either means there is only one, or someone who controls that department should be replaced. Graham System specs... CPU AMD5950, GPU AMD6900XT, ROG crosshair VIII Hero motherboard, Corsair 64 gig LPX 3600 mem, Air cooling on GPU, Kraken x pump cooling on CPU. Samsung G7 curved 27" monitor at 2k resolution ULTRA default settings.
August 19, 20214 yr Basically, all the reasons I will never buy something on MSFSMP if I can avoid it. The delays are horrendous and the locked down file status inexcusable. Couple them together and it’s a rubbish enterprise for a Flight Simmer. On the other hand. the XBox market has no option- and thus MS has no motivation to fix it. Is it Groundhog Day?
