Anybody finding that the Spoilers don’t deploy on their Mooney?

Plus Static elements,External Power and Towbar.?

Update required?

I think all of Carenado's MSFS aircraft are broken in some way by the updates.

The fuel selector isn’t working either since the update

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Unfortunately this is glaringly illustrative of two significant shortcomings with MSFSMP currently-

1) Poor QC and vetting of releases

2) Abysmal timelines for updates

Until both are fixed @Asobo and @Microsoft will have companies like @Carenado continue to publish products with deficiencies and move on to the next item in their catalog without concern for the consumer.

MSFSMP needs strict QC reviews and a streamlined submission process to be viable.

I think most of this these faults were caused by SU5, same as PMDG and other vendors have encountered. These issues didn't exist before SU5.

I believe Bob is correct on this one... Carenado is as frustrated by Asobo/MS changing the SDK in mid-flight as the other vendors.

(from a good source..) 😉

I don’t blame them, can’t be feasible redesigning code every month.

I love Carenado's aircraft and hope they update them soon.

Yes, this case was precipitated by Asobo, however, the MSFSMP QC checks and distribution timelines are still deficiencies that make me want to avoid MSFSMP.

HOPEFULLY, this time @Carenado will fix all the remaining issues with the Mooney in one fell swoop. I don’t have a lot of faith in them, but I DO have faith in @Bert Pieke and so will wait patiently:).

I'm not sure it's a Carenado problem to fix.  I've seen reports of the spoilers not working on the default CJ4 and I tried on the default A320 today and they didn't work there either.  The SU5 problems affect many aircraft so it seems we'll need to wait for the next MSFS update before these issues are fixed.

My guess is an MSFS update isn't going to fix anything on an aircraft, it is up to the aircraft developer to fix it, most likely.

I just checked my Mooney's speed brakes,  they work fine here.   Quality wont be very legible until it finishes processing.

EDIT: All static elements working too.   Towbar,  power,  chocks.  doors,  hatches.    I think the engine might have to be off.

Does the fuel tank selector work for you?

The tank selector on the floor is now completely nonfunctional.   The keybind to open all fuel valves didn't seem to work either.   I had to either spawn on a runway,   or click ready for taxi on the tablet.    Even then, the condition of the fuel selector didn't change.

Still one of my favorite planes in the sim though,  love the sounds.

Again, I agree with Bob...  Asobo changed the SDK/interface, and existing airplanes no longer work correctly after SU5.

Now, the airplane vendors get to adapt their airplanes to the new SDK..  😉
