So I'm using the latest 152 mod from Flightsim.to.  The latest version actually displays an additional aircraft in the sim, so I'm trying to "remove" the official one because I won't ever use it and trying to tidy up the aircraft selection screen.  I've gone into the Content Manager in the sim and deleted the Asobo 152 (all variants) but it still shows in the Aircraft selection screen - any ideas?

I am just guessing, but I suspect in the next update, any default  aircraft missing will be reinstalled.  I may be wrong.

You just can't do it.  All of the default content (including livieres) are considered "Mandatory content" by Asobo.

If you delete the C152, as soon as you next launch MSFS, it'll do a mandatory update and reinstall it. 🙂

That's what I figured. It's like that bloatware on your PC you can never get rid of.

That isnt what I am seeing.  After I removed the Asobo aircraft and relaunching the sim it still shows as "not installed" in the content manager but I can see the aircraft in the Aircraft selection screen.

that is correct - I uninstalled several default a/c that I don't use and they have not returned in any subsequent update. They show in Content Manager as available.

Same here. Liveries and aircraft I didn't want were removed and haven't come back.

Happened to me last week.  And for some reason there are some Aviators Club liveries I cannot seem to get rid of.  I removed them from Content but they still show when I go to change liveries for a selected aircraft.  It is just some of them, not all.

If you keep the a/c, the official liveries will repopulate. Third party liveries stay gone. If you also get rid of the aircraft, the liveries should not reinstall.

For many of these "mod" planes or "enhancement" packages that create a "new" version, they still often reference files from the original. I would not delete the original 152 unless you know for a fact that the mod is complete stand-alone. (Doubtful, if it is building on the default plane).

But in other cases, you can delete/uninstall official content and it stays uninstalled. Available for re-download in the content manager.

I just did this for the KingAir. Had it uninstalled, and just re-downloaded it a few days ago.

Well that is odd!

[EDIT:  Ahhh, just vgbaron's post below, so as long as you delete the aircraft and the liveries they won't be reinstalled.... but if you delete just the liveries (as I tried to), they will reinstall.

I wonder how much drive space uninstalling  most of the default aircraft will save?
