Hi all,

I've just completed a review of a pre-release copy of Origami Studios' Gatwick. I've also incorporated a comparison with MKVY's freeware Gatwick to help you decide whether or not it's worth coughing up for the payware version. Hope it's useful.

I'm afraid not. I have less time than I used to to devote to YouTube stuff and Freeware Focus had to be dispatched with, at least for now, as it was the least popular (and most time-consuming) thing I did.

I don't measure framerates cos they're so system-dependent and one person might have better performance with one than the other, with the opposite being true on someone else's setup. I found the performance of both of them to be about the same in terms of stutters and things though - both pretty smooth.

No, I'm afraid not. Really having to pick and choose what I review and I kind of know what Larnaca will be like - standard Justsim fayre, reasonably accurate representation of the airport, uninspiring ground textures, solid but nothing to write home about. Also the only version of Larnaca we're ever likely to have in MSFS, so if you're keen to fly to Larnaca, probably worth buying.

Fair enough, I have a ok quality freeware for now anyway.

Thank you very much for the review. Seems like a draw. I think I will stay with the freeware version, since I care more about little details and animations than ground texturing, especially when the alternative isn't free.

Thanks for another excellent review. On balance I will not be paying out for this as the freeware version is still under development.

Hmm I think I might pick this one up. As much as I love the freeware version, I've always been bothered by the lack of weathering and less-than-perfect ground textures. I've gotten many hours of enjoyment out of it but the price is right on Origami's version.
