Hi,

I have 2 questions about views:

1. I want to turn around the aircraft to see pushback cars or passengers for example. Is there a way to do this in a quicker way instead of using keys W A S D F R and numpad 2 4 6 8? How to set this in the joystick, so that it does the job with one button with four arrows?

2. I see that if I use the drone camera while flying I lose flight controls and the aircraft goes on its own pattern... For example, I changed from cockpit to drone just to see the outside and I tried to turn left/right, and even tried some stunts looking from the outside. The aircraft simply doesn't obey to any control... Solutions?

So, I assume you do not like switching to spot view and using the hat switch then?

I like switching to spot view, but it seems quite different than FSX. Could you tell me a simple way to "walk" in the airport around aircrafts or to have external views while flying?

I just switch to locked spot view , zoom back a tad with the mouse and then use the hat switch to circle the a/c. It can be done using external cameras but I am not familiar with setting them up. Perhaps someone else will chime in

Don't know how to do that... I will wait for someone more familiar with it. Thanks :)

Default key for spot view toggle is "End" on the keyboard.

From there I move around with my pan view which for me is rt click then move mouse.

To go back to cockpit, I press the "End" key again.

I haven't really gotten around to designating another key for spot view.  "End" key is a little weird as Asobo's default assignment.

With the END key you see a lot of panels... It looks very ugly. I would like to see the airport, not fuel or other panels...

I have seen several videos but none of them explain this in a proper way. 😞

What do you mean by "see a lot of panels"?

When I switch to spot view I get an external view of my airplane and a lot of things around it.  You can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel.

If I click "END" I get a spot view but also some panels with heading, airspeed, flaps, trim, altitude and vertical speed...

Oh, you can disable those.  It's an option somewhere...I can't remember where.  Someone will know around here.

or you can use the awesome shift+z stats addon. It has a keybind to toggle the HUD now.

You can use thee "S" key to cycle views and the "A" key to cycle views within each "S" View.

Hit "S" to get a new view -  then keep hitting "A" to cycle through the sub views - then "S" again for next view and "A" for those - repeat through all the views.

You have a hat switch to look around, right? (POV hat).

In the Controls window you can put all the exact same views for Drone View on that POV hat, you have to do it one by one. But then they are there ready for use forever. The hat will work like before in cockpit view (POV), and will work the drone views in drone view. They will not interfere with each other because the drone views on the hat will only work when you are actually are in drone view.

To see the Drone view commands that you can use just type 'Drone' into the "Search by Name" box in MSFS Controls window. Put the drone view commands where your POV cockpit views are, exactly in the same place. They will not interfere with each other.

Then, you won't have to worry which keyboard keys to use. Just move the hat the way you want to point the drone. It will fly forward automatically if you use the hat button where you put "translate drown forward" , and so forth.

I have lots of hats (Warthog HOTAS) which allows me to do the above easily.

If you don't, most people love the xBox controller for flying the drone. You just lay the controller aside out of way until you jump to drone view (END key). And then fly the drone with the xBox controller instead of the yoke or keyboard.

The xbox controller is already programmed by MSFS to fly the drone, so you don't have to set it up, just plug it into any USB and fly the drone with the obvious way. Unplug it and set it aside when you are flying the plane instead of the drone.

I tested this combination A / S. Only the S works but when I take the hand out of the S, it returns back to the original panel.
