I've been wondering about getting this for ages. It's always looked pretty good to me, but now it looks incredible. Sign me up!

Get it Filbert!  I held off as long as I could and now that I see fall colors, I'm hooked!  No regrets at all!!!!

@BijanStudio can you elaborate if and when this annoying loading in patches is fixed anytime? It ruins the otherwise wonderful maskin addon totally...

There is a much better VFR map which is free and doesn't show any of the lines/patches:

Now you dont seem to understand: I am not talking about the VFR map, I am talking about the obvious patchy loading of the mask tiles inside the sim as depicted in my earlier screenshot...

@BijanStudio I know you now have a discord support, but I do not like discord, so I post my issue here with the masking addon: it works, but you can clearly see the tiles of the masks being loaded around you in patches, hope you can see it on this picture (see the spared out houses on the right of the right wing):

So, overall a nice attempt, but for now I fly without masks and enjoy the beautiful fall colours of the trees alone 😉

This is what you posted, which is clearly VFR map and that's exactly what I am talking about. It's the same thing. NOW if you are talking about the the panel within the cockpit, that will not get fixed since I believe it's a bug within software and I have already submit a zendesk report.

But I did give you a suggestion to fix the issue for now:

If you bought it from SimMarket, you can activate update notifications. The setting is under "Newsletter" (yes, a bit misleading). Works perfect with Bijan's products.

Kind regards, Michael

Thanks again, MIchael. This worked, for me at least, as I have already received an update notice from them.

That I see here too : fall colored tiles loading in patches over the green terrain.

At very low altitude you won’t notice it but at above 7000 ft you can clearly see it.

Nice, you removed the relevant picture out of the quote 😉 Anyway, I was referring to the issue GSalden explained obviously better than me. And yes, this issue persists with v1.3

That's because I didn't see any issues in the other picture. There were no patchy browns in there. Those are from Bing maps.

I still don't understand what this does and how it does what it does. The simmarket page linked above talks mostly about trees.

Or to put in simple, better yet: simplistic terms: Should I install this and look out the window, what I'm seeing outside (lush fall colors, with some green still remaining) I will see in the simulator?

More reasons why we need official “Seasons” as a priority from Aboso!

🙂

This has nothing to do with seasons. Season mod alone don't do that. We are talking about terrain masks which is a new separate EXPERIMENTAL feature.
