Another seasons step from Bijan

Featured Replies

Bijan has recently released an experimental set of terrain masks for Autumn / Winter seasons which go a long way to mitigating the jarring mismatch of his brown, yellow and red Autumn trees with the vivid, lush greens of most of the summer temperate satellite images. Still a WIP (it sometimes puts dirt / grass on runways), but with some tweaking, it looks like we might have a truly satisfying seasons solution very soon.

Timeliness is critical.  Here along the mid-Atlantic USA the colors have not yet begun to change.......

Asobo should think about hiring this guy, open up the code an let’s see what he can do.

Here we are:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X on ROG CROSSHAIR VIIl DARK HERO (AM4), Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 V2 OC and 32 GB Vengeance Pro Ram 3600MHz. DELL Alienware AW3420DW 3440x1440 and DELL U2414H

Wow - nice! That would look much better anyway at any time of year, not just Autumn.

The top image looks false because the colours are to strong - over saturated.  The bottom one is much more natural.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I wonder why he is going through all this trouble. Asobo said they are working on it and I assume they will use similar solutions in the end.

Why should I pay for this, when it will be delivered to me for free in a years time by Asobo?

Because with Bijans product you will have it NOW and working while Asobo's solution is still nothing more than empty words like the real AI traffic that was advertised before release? Might be, that Asobos implementation will be further delayed, and then? I mean, it is not a huge pricetag we talk about here, no? So those few dollars for the sake of having already some kind of seasons at least one year in advance is worth every cent in my opinion. But of course, nobody forces you to buy this product...

Also Bijan doesn’t just replace trees, he makes tailored biomes to closer match the country.

Looks very good. I bought the 4 Seasons Pack when it was released. Will I get these upgrades, or is this a seperate product?

Awesome looking update, very much worth the money, be interesting to see if Asobo can match let alone better his work with their seasons next year.
