My 6 yr old BK just bit the dust. (smell of burning circuits) Now I feel hoodwinked.

*I've been un-hoodwinked. I put on (unknowingly of course) a very dejected, life changing, upset attitude after mentioning my burned up butt-kicker ( which brought about a few snickers from the love of my life), twenty minutes later she came by and said "Merry Christmas" and off I was to order the "Gamer 2". Now it's hooked up and really nice, with the new version I can tell the difference between engine rumble and flaps. Both at the same time instead of a little noisier rumble. That's what I call advanced sophistication. Any way - "Merry Christmas"!!

I’ve only owned the BK for about a month  or so, after about the first week of using it, when I forget to turn it on and go simming, I immediately notice somethings missing…Can’t really fly without it anymore.

Merry Christmas to you, and all avsimmers!

I wanted to share a bit more, my info and experience for the ones new to BK

BK works with MSFS sounds as plug and play with the Y split cable. But, if you do not want all the sounds to vibrate in the buttkicker, you can filter some frequencies with the BK adjust knobs. Or the better is; you can use additional basic sound card to seperate BK sounds from the MSFS sounds. For example; probably you may not want to get the low freq vibrations of the wind sound of MSFS  at the BK. At this stage, you can split MSFS sounds with this extra sound card and filter them to allow only low freq ones via Voicemeeter Banana. I think FSRealistic seems to be enough for the BK and do not see anymore need for Simshaker,Opus, etc. if will be used just for BK. (Still can be used on purpose or wish) FSR sounds are suitable (low freq) for BK and can be split and filtered by extra sound card and Voicmeeter Banana, as mentioned above. Before FSR, other softwares were required to get the activity vibrations from MSFS but now FSRseems to provide the visual and audial data for both MSFS and BK. And I think the developer will improve more for this purpose. For example, FSR can have an internal option to select the audio output device to avoid additional Voicemeter usage or can have internal freq filters, etc.

Yes, BK adds much to the immersion. Of course, you must consider your place for BK, hence it must not disturb family members or neigbours with these low freq rummles.

I hope this helps a bit more for the MSFS simmers new to BK usage. Happy Flying.

Mery Christmas and a Happy New Year to whom celebrates.

Thanks for the info, I have both fsrealistic and simshaker using two sound cards (well a sound card and a USB adapter), I will experiment without simshaker to see if I notice any difference.

Has anyone been able to purchase the Sound module for SimShaker for Aviators?  Haven’t been able to buy it as you can’t add it to cart on the site.  I’ve been waiting months with a little amp and a couple of transducers ready to go, emailed him and he never responded.  Really wish the guy that made SimHub would add support for flight sims.

I did purchase it, however that was a few months ago, and can’t really remember the steps I took, but I do remember when I purchased, had to wait for him to send the activation code, got it within hours of paying so wasn’t too bad. Wish I could help you.
