Purchased Opus FSI for MSFS but it does not see my ac (yet).

Default path does not work and pointing to the MSFS Folder or MSFS /Packages folder does not solve it.

Anyone ?

Otherwise I will contact the Opus team.

I am watching this thread with interest, as I heard my boss say he wants to get a butt-kicker.  I don't understand why...  He doesn't even have MSFS!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Does your boss race sims? I heard this is really popular amongst the sim racing community!

PS I’ll report back with my findings once installed, although may not be for another week or so by the time I actually get to it.

In case anyone cares which particular tactile forces are calculated from the Simconnect data stream.

Just ordered the Gamer 2 kit myself. Hope to have it before the weekend.

Found this video that walks through setting it up (specifically aimed at MSFS) but it doesn't mention Opus FSI (or Opus MSFS).

Instead, he mentions using a "legacy version" of Simconnect, SimShaker Sound Module, and SimShaker for Aviators.

So I'm not sure if I need Opus MSFS or not. Will have to do more research.

Simconnect is a component of Microsoft flight sims dating way back.   There are 3 legacy version, and 1 MSFS version.

The legacy versions represent FSX,  FSX SP1,  and FSX: Acceleration expansion pack.   The MSFS default version is installed when you install the MSFS SDK from the in sim dev toolbar.

Just to clarify,   Simshaker does not require Opus.

From the link in my OP in this thread.

You need to install the legacy version of the SimConnect client. You can try this: http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=simconnect 346
or

The buttkicker does not need software it uses the sim sounds. If you want all the effects then you will need software. I don't use simshaker but i do use Opus.

Yup OPUS for the win - very complicated but works

I like the new profile editor. You can customize the effects for each plane.

I’m in a house so no issues but is it really that loud?

Not loud but the low frequencies are the issue.

Cheers
