November 19, 20214 yr Well, I have been going through all my settings, EVERY SETTING...(geez!) and pretty much have my 30 FPS (on a GTX1070 non-Ti) back. That was a major blow to me, from the outset, to lose 8 FPS (running at 19-22) from the launch of SU7-GOTY. I need some help though...for in the update, my male and female avatar pilots now have missing textures. 1. Both of their headphones are fully pink (you know...when textures are missing or don't get loaded in) and on the male avatar his pants are pink (missing textures) They were fine and showed properly with SU6. Can anybody advise HOW I can repair this? Is there a way to check for textures, or re-download only certain things, or what? Will I have to suffer this look until a HotFix comes (hopefully!) out? Any suggestions to repair the avatars to pre SU7 would be greatly appreciated. Other than that...and now pixelated clouds tendrils and wisps set to Ultra, I have a pretty stable and stutter free animation and back at 30-32 FPS in most concerns. November 19, 20214 yr @Sesquashtoo your topic says "SU7...doing the fine trim work, and got back my lost FPS's". So this title suggest that you explain what you did and what you changed....BUT...instead of that...you ask for help for missing textures ....is this YouTube and some sort of clickbait???? November 19, 20214 yr I am having the same issue. At this moment i am investigating which addon is responsible for the pink textures. So this title suggest that you explain what you did and what you changed....BUT...instead of that...you ask for help for missing textures ....is this YouTube and some sort of clickbait???? Pardon me? Yeah...I spent the afternoon doing change and test, change and test...but didn't feel I needed to write a novel. I just said that one (or myself) can with time and effort, trim out back to what they enjoyed in SU6. You need as I did, to grab a coffee or twenty and do the work of looking at EACH option, and what that option's impact on performance might be by fly and test, adjust fly and test, and adjust. THAT is what I have been doing... so no click bait...just saying that I was doing this effort and had good results.... Post Edit: Just wanted to add, that if one does (too bad that we have to...) go through all the many options, and their drop downs...with (for me it was about 6 hours of this 'n that testing and applying), that I can honestly say that I have the same performance out of my system, (thank the lord!) that I had in SU6. No stutter (I had on release), no animation pause (I had on first run), and no longer a drop to 19-22 FPS (had on first run) and now back to my happy place...30 fps on Ultra Settings. So...as your system is different from mine...everybody has to just grab that 20 coffee's and get to work. You can get it back to SU6 'general performance', for I have... NOW...other than pixelated cloud wisps and tendrils, and conflicted (pink and missing) avatar headphone visuals...the blood pressure is back to normal, and I am once more enjoying my version of MSFS-G. Yeah...'G'.... 🙂 Edited November 19, 20214 yr by Sesquashtoo

So you think that it is something we have in our Com folder that now is conflicting with the headphones on the pilot avatars? Does it keep getting better or what, lol. Well if you do find out what it is...please publish on your own, or this thread. I'll remove that for sure. The pink headphones/head sets is such an immersion killer... November 19, 20214 yr I can only think this has something to do with the base airplane got updated and the texture.cfg in the custom texture folder became outdated. If that is the case, copy a texture.cfg from a base livery to the custom livery so it has the correct fallbacks.

Communications. I can take some screen shots Gerad, of most of my settings and will share, later on, tomorrow. Right now, I must say on my modest system, I am once more getting fabulous results. As good actually (now), as was with SU6. I'm running MSFS in 'G' mode. Yes, I have most of everybody eles bugs...lost textures and that new helicopter that keeps crashing CTD when trying to get it to an airport. Pixelated cloud wisps and tendrils. But other than that...I'm once more doing the Happy Dance. So...will take all the snaps, and share tomorrow morning on this thread. You can then see what I have...for Graphics, and such. Again, will post on this thread and not a new one. Edited November 20, 20214 yr by Sesquashtoo

I did say that with prudent experimentation, the user could get back what they had in SU6, if they so choose. But since two have asked me...I will post what is on MY system and runs well.... Ses

I am running The Bonanza Turbo by Rob, for SU6, but I don't think any of it, would impact the avatars...but who knows...I can try that. Thanks.
November 19, 20214 yr the seasonal tree add-ons (on simmarket or the one on the MS STORE via content manager was causing my post SU7 slowdown! removed it and all is well... It was noted on their forums that pink textures were caused by this add-on although since, I believe it has been patched now to accomodate SU7 but I am not trying it since I finally got FS to run good again....
