the seasonal tree add-ons (on simmarket or the one on the MS STORE via content manager was causing my post SU7 slowdown! removed it and all is well... It was noted on their forums that pink textures were caused by this add-on although since, I believe it has been patched now to accomodate SU7 but I am not trying it since I finally got FS to run good again....

Thanks for that...but that's another one not in my Comm Folder.   I guess it will take some sleuthingbut weird that with SU5 and 6, this did not occur.

Here's my GRAPHICS settings:

With DX11, I get 29-30 FPS

WIth DX12,  I get 30-32 FPS

Both DX's running with the same settings:

Honestly, I didn't feel you were complaining....I have a very high 'complain' threshold, lol.  No problem.  I didn't initially post screenies, because as I said, everybody's system is different so I take the approach of start tweaking MINE, and see where it goes, rather than mimic another's settings, but....you and other's asked, so no problem posting.  As you can see, I can generate 30-32 FPS (DX12 Beta) while the sim is fully animated and not only while on menu option animation pause.  Other than a few glitches, and bugs (if you access Content Manager, you will come back to all Assists turned on and set to Easy.   They absolutely need to put out a SU7 HotFix ASAP.

Other than that, though, and oh...I can't even load that new copter into an airport...without a CTD.  So stuff like that...but that I have my coveted (and needed!) FPS floor of 30, is making SU7 workable. Honestly though...SU6 (if I could) would be reinstated on my system. I was just peachy-keen with that version.  Absolutely!

8x8 Supersampling has to be really hard from a performance perspective no? At least on my system that is one of those major performance impact settings?  At that resolution have you tried backing just that down a bit, I think I may even run 2x2 but I am 5120x1440... It "might" be worth playing around with, especially once you start to get into heavy clouds... 8x8SS is pretty hard on the system. I know you are getting 30FPS which is awesome as your baseline but what happens in heavy clouds with a detailed aircraft?  If it drops SS is the first place I'd look, if not then awesome!

As I've mentioned elsewhere, SU7 FPS is being very nice to me.

At least part of it seems to be that the sim appears to be no longer quite so unfriendly to overclocking, and will now give significant gains at higher clocks.

Previously, I had found that MSFS kind of underperformed when overclocked, making it better to just stay at stock speeds....

There was no true FPS difference between 6x and 8x other than better visuals. So, I run at 8.

Your setting works great, in DX12, I was running okay at about 30 fps (locked w/vsynch) but had a couple of long frames at lift off. with your settings I'm avging 70-72 fps and no long frames at take off. Thanks

i am under the impression that Asobo already took a turn to DX12. My new machine suddenly will not perform anymore wih DX11. But my gtx3070 obviously likes Dx12 and runs better with it.

Ok, so posting the screen grabs worked for you...glad then to have uploaded! Enjoy...on my long in the teeth system I can keep at a floor of 30 to 32 (never higher...but totally acceptable for my needs, visually.
