December 1, 20214 yr I'm leaving Bismarck ND for Fargo. KFAR is calling for light rain but lower clouds. I initially depart sunny BIS and cruise at 7500 ft. I'm getting over 3 miles a minute and sipping 100LL. Eventually I decide to descend to 3500 VFR below the clouds. As I approach Fargo I pickup an IFR clearance with Minneapolis Center, they "ship" me to Fargo approach control, and I shoot the RNAV RY 9 to just above minimums. This is the freeware RV7 (the author is working on a RV7A) - perf numbers are a little better but on the fast side (fine with me hehe). He does appear to constantly update the plane. There's also a paintkit and Blender file. Every freeware has a few niggles but I recommend this one as it can use the WT G1000 Nxi. https://flightsim.to/file/23192/van-s-rv-7 Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Missouri River Untitled-4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr 187 ktas Untitled-5 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-6 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr I tend to see North Dakota as a beautiful place with buttes on the western half, rolling hills in the middle, and America's Heartland on the east side.
