Same here - I deleted the VolumetricClouds.cfg and let build a new one (no idea if this was the trick). Anyway, I do not see these ugly wafers.

This is very important with 5.3 guys..

Can't recall all from the top of my head.. but they added / modified stuff to make the clouds look better.

It would be nice if Danian and his team could make random bulging clouds on top of the flat OC.

Then it would look very realistic.

Where is the VolumetricClouds.cfg file? I think remember deleting the file for the v5.2 release but I don't remember where the file is.

I have found with P3D 5.2 and especially 5.3 you can have very nice overcast and some amazing cloud visuals.

This is not simply taking off and flying. You need to have a little understanding of how weather is setup which includes cloud and visibility layers properly placed. Also, and this is very important... depending on your system, colors may be very over-saturated... too bright, too much color, and not matching the real world. This happens with the default Lighting settings on my Nvidia based system. There are also other effects that need to be enabled. These have the EA Clouds ENABLED. Some of the pics below are at full overcast. The one with the KLM plane is using specially placed visibility layers.

I see you are using iFlys newly updated 737NG. How do you like it?

@Steve Halpern

Looks really nice!

Is that with the default Voml....cfg file and Active sky?

I cant use EA Clouds right now cause my CPU (1080) cant handle it really good but I will get a 3080 ti or 3090 end of year and will change to EA Clouds again :)

FWIW at low level relevant bulging or contouring is evident as well as layers and colouring. This EA and True Sky using AS to generate the weather. I think it is ok to my eye. I keep the old and any volumetric cloud configs (for my own tweaking reasons) have not compared them yet.
