However, I am definitely a bit concerned about the future of MSFS. The Marketplace would have to change significantly for me to purchase any additional products from there. Cheers, Pete I was a p3D user up until msfs released, I think I may have jumped the gun and pre-maturely removed p3d, thinking of going back to p3d for my high fidelity airliner flying, and keep msfs as my bush hopper, and hopefully in the next few years it will be where I’d like it to be for my needs as a simmer. I’m not getting the warm and fuzzy feeling that they are moving in the right direction for my simming needs, things like Reno, and top gun dlc, albeit cool, I wish they’d focus more on the core sim first, but they are a business and I get that. Disclaimer: I even noted in these very forums that I couldn’t go back to p3d after using msfs, but here I am pondering it! btw, picked up flightbeam stuff for msfs, thier scenery is on sale for those interested! Cheers my friends! Cheers my friends! I tried going back to P3D after flying MSFS for about 2 months. It was like going from a HD 4K TV to a 15" B & W TV. Flew about 3 flights on it, and that was it. Yuck.

Cheers my friends! I am almost 100% a tube-liner guy, so P3dv5 by far still best suits my needs. Since I fly a Piper Warrior IRL, I will sometimes do a quick flight in MSFS in the Warrior, but I can only last for a short time before I get bored. These sales are killing me, I may need to take out a second mortgage just to buy everything I want! I agree, the visuals are amazing in msfs and can’t be beat, clouds, ground, seeing a lake where a lake is suppose to be, the mountains in Alaska with orbx mesh. etc. Maybe once a couple high fidelity airliners show up, PMDG, fenix, maddog etc. that may fit bill…(I know there is the fbw, cj4 mod, crj) Maybe I’m just getting impatient as well and craving a 737, a md80 and a dash 8. December 22, 20214 yr I would only buy direct from vendor IF I were going to purchase anything for MSFS.

I have the dc6, and while spectacular, I haven’t flown it much. Maybe I’ll take her for a couple spins around the Alaskan territory, may light the spark under my butt. As for the kodiak, it looks good, but I have a hard time justifying the cost for what looks to be almost similar to the c208, which is part of msfs. As for the “hurting the wallet”.. since msfs released, I spent about 2K on flight sim, albeit a lot of it was new hardware to complement msfs such as HOneycomb suite, buttkicker. Radio panels, tablets etc. so the good thing is, if I go back to other sims, that money wasn’t wasted. In the meantime, I am grabbing most sceneries that do go on sale for msfs in hopes of being ready for when it hits its prime. So yes agreed it becomes costly 😬 Happy holidays! I am the other way, after flying tubeliners in flight sims for many , many years, I can't stay awake flying one for more than a half hour or so. To me , it's like watching paint dry. I need something that actually requires my attention from takeoff to landing.

That fact that you have to open up MSFS just to look is very inconvenient. In any event, I have only purchased one item from the Marketplace, and it would have to be a deal of all deals for me to buy from there again. I personally would prefer to buy direct from the developer. Cheers, Pete Absolutely! Would be so nice to browse the MP without having to start the sim (like right now, sitting on the sofa with my iPad).
