Is anyone else experiencing an issue with the F-35 where the throttle does not work?  I have my TM Warthog throttle mapped properly in the sim (all other aircraft work fine) but can only control the throttle in the F-35 using my mouse (not ideal!)

If you read Dino's notes on his facebook page he tells you why this is happening and what to do about it. In short its not a Dev issue its the Sim. I'd encourage all players to follow IndiaFoxTecho on Facebook because his customer support/communications are second to none.

Cheers

Yes, I'm also getting CTD's, almost every flight. Not right away, but maybe 10 to 15 minutes in. There's also usually a regular stutter about every couple of minutes or so up to the CTD. My F-35s, however, don't disappear from the plane selection list. I've been monitoring with MSI Afterburner, and it's not Vram or temperatures. The FPS also stays very solid right up to the CTD (locked down at 36 fps). There's no such problems with any other planes. I usually run at standard Ultra settings. I tried lowering to standard High settings, but it made no difference. It is a puzzle.

My system is , I guess you could say, "upper middle class" (10700K @ 4.9 Ghz, 2070 Super, 2K monitor). I am using Windows 10 and Nvidia 497.29 drivers. I don't know if that makes a difference, but I'm not noticing problems with any other planes in MSFS, or in any other games or sims.

In any case, I'll keep digging away and see if something turns up. I really do like this plane.

If anyone has any ideas or hears anything, please chime in.

Thanks - Bob

I updated my Nvidia drivers today and went for a longish flight from St. Maarten to Saba to St. Barts back to St. Maarten playing around with the STOVL capabilities of the B model and did not have a CTD.  More flights to come to see if I just got lucky but last night I attempted the same and had a CTD approaching Saba.

The dev did post on their Facebook page that they are aware of people having CTDs but the response was to direct people to a generic Zendesk link about CTDs in MSFS so not promising there given I do not have CTDs with any other aircraft.

Is there a manual for the F35?  I can't find it!

yes there is : community - indiafoxtecho-f35 - simobjects - airplanes -indiafoxtecho_F35A - docs

I have only tried the 'A' model and so far 2 out of 3 flights have suffered a freeze then CTD after only a few minutes ... hoping for a solution somewhere as all my other jets seem ok still.

On the beta version of MSFS and completed a flight from RAF Valley -RAF Lossiemouth with no issues, using the A version.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

Got my ctd with the B version.
I understood Indiafoxecho said to run to the zendesk but these ctd are coming only when I'm using the F-35B, so, I'm really not sure it's a issue coming from msfs.

All my other aircrafts are working just fine (PMDG, Kodiak and etc)

Update - as suggested earlier in this thread removing the Garmin 1000 Nxi seems to have done the trick on my 'A' model ... so far no CTD's...

Hmm, means removing the Nxi with all the advantages for not getting ctd with a F-35? It don't looks a good deal 🙂

I'm sure it will be resolved - in the meantime just switch the Nxi on/off in the sim content UI depending on what aircraft you want to fly.

I don't normally go to Facebook to look for Developer support, but I did look through the posts on the Indiafoxtecho Facebook page.  I don't see where Dino explains WHY we have to map our throttle to THROTTLE AXIS 1, other than he mentions it is needed for users on Sim Update 7 Beta (which I am running).  All other aircraft work fine having my throttle mapped to the generic THROTTLE AXIS, so I have a hard time calling this a sim issue and not a dev issue.  Unfortunately, the combination of consistent CTDs when flying the F-35 along with the requirement to re-map my throttle axis controller every time I want to fly this aircraft has parked it in my virtual hangar until these issues get sorted.
