I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
January 3, 20224 yr Hopefully it will be on Orbx very soon. January 3, 20224 yr Excellent, maybe it will be worth getting the Hard Deck carrier addon to use the C variant. Keith Guillory
January 3, 20224 yr Hopefully there will be a Canadian paint for this over in flightsim.to given it has a pretty high likelihood of being our replacement for the CF-18. Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

No Dave, the next gen aircraft will be out before they make the decision! I would have thought the Super Hornet would have been a certainty, but strange forces at play, and so many different agendas in the mix! I think the Canadian version will look very similar as most other air forces, in the anti-radar grey, but it would be nice to see the maple leaf on it for sure! January 3, 20224 yr You are exactly right on all counts! It seems the Canadian government has a hard time procuring aircraft without it being a boondoggle, the Sea King replacement also comes to mind. It would be ironic if the F-35 ended up being the winner after the previous sole source procurement was cancelled. My guess is the Super Hornet is out of play more due to Boeing and the C-Series but who knows… Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

I watch preview vid's of this and have to say it looks great and they have tried to do a good job of the displays. But I dont think there is any sim that can make one of the key future of this aircraft work, the $400,000 helmet. This aircraft is all about the easy to hover and VL but the custom made helmet per pilot really sets this aircraft aside. The main thing it does is see through the aircraft itself like the airframe is not there. But then again, if only flying it from A to B then proberly it does not matter as none of the real systems are there. Its a great looking aircraft but pig ugly in hover/VL. One of the best moden Mil aircraft within MSFS by the looks of it what ive watched. If not the best? Edited January 3, 20224 yr by Nyxx David Murden. Well F-35 is not easy to implement for any sim. So developer choice is left desired better even comparing with P3D version. Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). January 3, 20224 yr Excellent! Been looking forward to this one. Here in the UK we’ve got the F35B, so this will be my second helping of Christmas turkey😃

The video that NYC posted mentions a carrier add on but I didnt follow if it comes with the plane or is an extra package. Did yours come with the carrier? I'm very curious because I also have IndiaFoxtecho's T-45C which is equipped with a functional tailhook and launch bar. If their carrier works with both aircraft that would be sweet.
