January 7, 20224 yr WHY!? WHHHYYYY is that thing there!? The one that pop ups all the time on the bottom right of the screen that seemingly doesn't serve a single purpose, but continuously goes off throughout a flight. I was hoping they'd do away with it with this update, but it's still there. Does anyone know why that silly thing is still there or have any idea how to get rid of it? Thanks!

There’s money to be made from all that grinding and gnashing of teeth 👌

I don't think I have it... But I don't have a cache/rolling cache activated. These kind of disc access indicators only usually show (in all games) when the software is saving data, as a "protective measure", i.e. we're warning you that it's now writing to your drive, so if you quit or force a shutdown of the software now, it might corrupt data. That prevents answering to backlash from anyone who does encounter corruption, because they can say, well, the software did warn you it was writing data when you quit out at that moment. So, it probably won't be removed from the sim.

January 7, 20224 yr I don't have rolling cache on and I get it. Sometimes I don't have it, sometimes I have it. When it happens, it happens at any "save" moment. Introduce fuel, start taxiing, wheels up, etc. It is also accompanied by a very annoying stutter every time, so lifting off during takeoff never feels great. I usually quickly enable dev mode, then quit, and then the spinning circle is gone. Of course, you won't get log time for the flight, but who cares?
January 7, 20224 yr Author Never mind. I spoke too soon. Turning off rolling cache helps a little, but it's still there and really, really annoying. There's absolutely no need for it.

I believe it shows up when scenery info is being downloaded as you fly when photogrammetry is on, try turning it off. January 7, 20224 yr Rolling cache has nothing to do with it, I never use rolling cache and I see it all the time.
