Featured Replies

Flying my beloved Yak18T up the swiss valleys with optional Swiss mesh. There are POI city every mile in lots of locations. Another town. I never have seen anything like that anywhere else.

To be honest, this looks more like you have the Switzerland POI addon installed from flightsim.to rather than default. I am pretty sure I only have a fraction of those marker in my setup. But then, I anyway have POI turned off in my sim, dont now if this also deactivates them on world map. Last, Switzerland was part of the WU6, as such many POIs got added.

Nope, I never had 'World-poi-v31 - Switzerland' from fs.to installed, so that's not the reason.

Nevertheless: Only Switzerland is loaded. But not Austria, France, Germany, UK.

oops, found the answer, the Swiss Mesh in the marketplace says 'adds hundreds of POIs'. So that's the reason!

What's that Plane and Orange doing in your "Flight Conditions" box top right?! I've never seen a Plane or the Sun looking like that in my box 🤔

It`s all the tax exile people that created more towns tp live in😁

Most of these POIs are not Towns, but mountains peaks, which are many in Switzerland, and useful for VFR flying. However, since it's not possible to change the map icon, they always shows with a "town" icon.

Looks like extra weather presets have been added and they have their own pictures.  There are loads available now, especially on flightsim.to.  I stopped downloading them when I had about 50, as there are only so many weather conditions that look different enough.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I think the sun image for weather is part of the "modern UI" addon, not sure though....

Ah!  Yes.  Of course.  I like the look of that and would like to try it, but there have been a few reports of conflicts with other add-ons.
