Don't have that one... mostly low n' slow G.A., and I gravitate to pontoons and amphibs. I do have a couple of Business Class Jets, and would like to get the Honda for both P3D and I see/reading that someone is soon going to be releasing it (Honda Jet) for MSFS. I think that is just on the cusp....
January 22, 20224 yr Sesquastoo - for what its worth I never upgraded to the Twin Otter Extended but kept on going with the old original FSX Twin Otter for reasons relating to paints for a few birds which were not done for the extended version (and painting anything by Aerosoft especially the Twotter was a nightmare). Anyhow a few mods here and there over time and the old version works just fine in P3DV5 for me. In fact in some areas I did a comparison with what they are proposing for MSFS as a matter of curiosity and well apart from nice PBR on the exterior I think I prefer the old one anyway. Still has the best PT6 sound package about and that is a bonus. Never caused me any grief at all in P3D. Nothing wrong with this old bird Edited January 22, 20224 yr by coastaldriver
January 22, 20224 yr These planes (this one and the one that came out for MSFS) need something like Accusim. They seem lifeless, you don't see a vibration, nothing. 13600KF - AIO - 32GB DDR4 - RTX4070 - UW1440p GSync - USB DAC - 2TB NVMe - Windows 11 Pro - Gladiator NXT EVO - 1 Gbps Fiber - MSFS 2024

"Now to get the engine started...can't be too difficult....let's see....turn this....push this...." CLANGALANGALANGALANGALANGALANGALANGA.. "Oops" Followed by being seriously impressed. I assume this can't happen with the MSFS version? If it can, nobody seems to have mentioned it.

My Otter DOES have vibes...pontoon splash...stall...all with Accu-Feel...as soon as I install a new plane, Accu-Feel (for P3D) picks it up and assigns my defaults... If you get Accu-Feel, you will have all your planes with cockpit immersion and environmental immersion.... You can buy it off of Orbx Central...or out upon the Net.

I'm not sure if there's any reason it couldn't do it in MSFS but it definitely doesn't (and it's far from the only thing missing from that version)
January 22, 20224 yr The P3D version of the Twin Otter certainly has more features than the MSFS one. This is because the MSFS "engine" does not have the same code. Getting the MSFS version released has meant a complete rewrite of some of the standard functions. Sounds are also better in the P3D version. Please note that I am not saying the MSFS versions is bad, it's not, the simulator itself is just not mature enough yet, and most developers are still learning how to deal with some of it's quirks.
