Well... they better hurry up. I bought it two days before release, was patient until January, gave it a deadline sometime in March, felt sorry for it, extended the deadline some more.My bday is on Wednesday. 7 months for a patch to solve even the minor stuff. You people are too nice. Phil.... you hear that.... get it out on Wednesday, or else I'm installing Vista on ALL your home PC's!!!

Well I have a big hole in my hard drive where FSX use to sit. I dumped it because I had done all sorts of tweeks and changes etc. I'm ready to fill in the whole with a fresh install and SP1. Looking forward to it.

Hello All, Well, not to blow anyone into the water, but...........I heard, (from one of the 'not to mention' beta testers, that it will be released today or tonight....hmmm...guess we'll see.Best,Clay

Why would it release tonight when Phil says it will release next week? Heck, by their record, it won't be out for another 2 weeks or so.

>Hello All, >>Well, not to blow anyone into the water, but...........I>heard, (from one of the 'not to mention' beta testers, that it>will be released today or tonight....hmmm...guess we'll see.I think this is probably a case of slight miscommunication-- Phil's blog post says they are building a release candidate tonight. I think somehow that was probably taken to mean it will be released tonight which doesn't sound like its the case from Phil's blog post.

... if SP1 comes out on Wednesday, its *everybodys* b-day...

Well let's hope it's Sunday (for those who think Sunday is the first day of the week) or Monday (for those who think Monday is the first day of the week). :-lol :-hah

That was before we found the issues I mentioned in my latest blog post. That is why it is always a scramble at the end - because you often find showstoppers and need to take "1 more build" which pushes back the date.Until the bits are out and I post about it, its all an *estimate*. Its true, earlier in the week before these issues cropped up we did hope to be out by Fri. But I only posted that to the beta team because I didnt want to randomize the community and mis-set expectations. Its a pity beta testers cannot respect their NDA.

ex-Aces Lead PM, FSX SP1 and SP2
ex-Intel LRB native title enablement, ex Intel Gaming and Graphics Samples PM

now Graphics and Multicore PM in Visual Computing Software Enabling.

No, it's a pity that there is a "need" for a NDA.Great news on the not to far away release date though! :-)
