The excitement is building. I can't wait for my hopes and aspirations of a fluid sim to be crushed once again.Only kidding of course, I actually have high hopes for this patch...er, service pack.:(

Well, Phil...This is where I come in. I can adhere to NDA's like no one's business! :) I'm also a great beta tester. No information leaked here. Heck, I don't even tell my wife about the beta tests I do!! (Of course, she would have no idea what I was talking about, nor would she care!). I'm a great candidate for your next round of beta testing! ;)Glad to hear it's nearing release, though. I'd rather have a great product rather than knowingly releasing a product that still had problems. I don't mind waiting (it's hard to wait, though!) for a superior product. Keep up the good work, and I must admit that communication has been awesome from the team!

Phil, could you please reset the .xml file that you used for FS9? That way the gear-up gear-down switches will be seperated again.Thanks in anticipation?

I guess it will get here when it gets here. Hope it is worth the wait.I will be glad when we can get some more power from higher ghz CPU's though. I'm tried of all the multi-core ones I want some more pure ghz horse power also. The hardware guy's have really let us down more then any software company has.........

Seeing as you are telling people you are a beta tester then you break rule #1.

funny phil you state in your own blog in your own words that the SP1 has no beta 5 and will be release candidate and be out in a week then in here you say that it might be longer becuz of last minute show stopper bugs, well when u guys added something new to the way fsx does something in SP1 of course there are going to be bugs. and why say on your blog from time and time again its coming out which it is not? because there is still after 7 months more work to be done for SP1 AKA a patch for fsx. its funny everyone is mad at electronic arts for command and conquer 3 the latest release kane edition yet EA released patch after patch to fix bugs and make there customers happy and even though it took what 5 or so patches they were all released within days and fixed most issues and made people happy.. a 7 month SP1 aka patch for fsx and people still wonder why it aint released? and its funny to me that its so top secret that beta testers will be burned at the stake from microsoft if they talk about it. ******* you guys are treating this crap even more strict than vista. and vista aint worth a darn thing. what are terrorists going to blow us up because SP1 has some unique feature that is new to the way computers operate? cant be you guys released vista... i bet because the NDA is so strict for one reason and one reason only... THERE ARENT MUCH PERFORMANCE GAINS. and of course that is what everyone asked for who bought and owns fsx. they wanted it to run on there computers of TODAY not computers of tommorow 5 years from now. even with 3 gigs of ram and a multi processor system and decent graphics FSX still skips and stutters even though everything is completely cached into the system memory. load up the VC and it skips, change views of external cam on the airplane it skips.. 2 hours after running FSX the fps is not what it was when first loaded, its bogged down... which vid card memory is all out instead of fsx being smart about it and flushing the ram while keeping textures in view sharp it just blanks out all textures seen visually and starts over.. anyways.. skyhawk out!
