Traffic Global or AIG

Featured Replies

Hi All...

I'm on P3dv5.3 and am trying to get some AI arriving and departing on the US only aifields that I frequent.

I bought Traffic Global 2 years ago.....and have NEVER been ablre to figure it out....the Product Manual is totally worthless...at least for me.

I tried AIG...but got lost with its tutorial....so now I have really no AI coming or going.

I think the Traffic Global is laid out for flyers that have a super grasp at how to use their UI...but its all mumbled for me.

As well as for AIG....guess my comprehension level has dropped since turning 77.

If there is anybody successfully using either programme can help me 'by the numbers' I would really appreciate it

Thanks

AIG is far and away the better product, but is currently unavailable due to server issues on their end. They are hoping for mid February to get it back up.

In the mean time Traffic Global isn't difficult to get started at all. Select the Compile Traffic tab, then check the p3d v5 box as we as the other boxes down the list that you want. Personally I'd uncheck the GA traffic as it's hideous to see in the sim (the models are comical). Chose More Accuracy for Error correction otherwise you will have even more fictional airline city pairings than you might like (if you don't care about seeing airliners on continents that they normally wouldn't ever fly to then adjust the slider to where you want). Finally press the Compile button and let it compile. If it takes more than 10-15 minutes to complete (it really shouldn't take more than a minute or two) then the compiler has hung on something which is very common for it to do. Just force close it with the task manager and then boot up your sim and you should have traffic.

I use Traffic Global since it is a piece of cake to install, and it puts reasonable traffic at most airports. It may not be the absolute best, but for me it gets the job done.

OK ...thanks guys....I'll try again to wade thru it !!!

Remember to set the traffic sliders in the sim to your desired traffic level. Also check in the P3D Scenery\World\Scenery folder that the file TrafficAircraft.bgl has been renamed to disable it. You will see a mix of TG and default aircraft in the sim if it has not been modified. I think the latest version of the TG installer does this automatically.

Well I'm 77 years old and run both AIG and Traffic Global at the same time.

Those screenshots aren't doing TG any favours.

I'm not out to do anyone any favours I have always said use what suits the user, It`s not about what`s right or wrong but how the users wants to run there Sim.
