February 11, 20224 yr This is nothing new, historically Canada once bought the rights from Lockheed to manufacture the F-104 Starfighter in Montreal, the Canadian Variant was called Canadair CF-104 Starfighter, they made these aircraft for Canada, Denmark, Norway and Turkey. Lots of examples of this. This comes down to the licensing agreement between India and Dornier to include making them for India or any other nation approved under the licensing, therefore they have consent to do this as per those agreement. If anything it takes the burden off the original manufacturer by licensing production out Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

February 13, 20224 yr Do any of you remember Capt. Bala from the old flightsim.com forums? He flew MIG 21s in the Indian Air Force before he became an Air India B747 Captain. He died not too long ago but he was also an avid flight simmer. He told me the MIG 21 he flew was manufactured in India. He also told me of a UFO encounter he had while flying a MIG over the Assam Valley. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
