Thanks for your input. W10 is fully update and at the MS Store there is nothing to update. Don´t know what is the XBOX Gaming Provisioning Tool - is it required? (I dpn´t have Xbox).

Have you tried the Clean install instructions provided above?  I'm going to try that.

Pretty sure that you need the XBOX Gaming  app installed on a PC.  Make sure that you can sign in.  You install / update from there not the Windows store.

Yes, I do use Xbox app for the installation.

Don't forget to disable VPN, download both XBOX APS, and sign into the account. A clean install of win & the sim is usually the best option to ensure you are starting from scratch.

MSFS

Thanks! Though I don´t have an Xbox I have Xbox, Xbox console companion, and Xbox game bar installed. I do use Xbox to install MSFS from MS Store. It downloads but after that iy gives an error.

I see, MSFS Standard, MSFS Premium DeLuxe and Digital Ownership. Is there a proper order to download? I use the Premium version.

I have no VPN but I literally just did the second part on my new PC and nothing...blah!

I'm going to try Windows 11 instead.

Same here  - reinstalled W10, used MSStore to download MSFS through Xbox, it downloads, bur at 100% gives error - could be it a permissions issue? (I have one account only, as admin and I have full access to the drive where the installation is supposed to go.

This sucks! Have you contacted XBox support? I had to that once in the early stages. It's how I found out that box xbox aps had to be installed and updated. Win 10 also needs to be up to date.

MSFS

Interesting that I just got a prompt:

msfs.jpg

I've never seen this before. Maybe a server issue that could be affecting installations?

MSFS

New option to use the new cloud gaming functionality perhaps.

Hi Ryan,

I had the same issues when trying to install on my system after many hours/days of trying I gave up. I went to STEAM and purchased it. It has worked perfect ever since. Go there and don't look back. The windows MSFS installer is garbage.

I completely agree with you but I'm hoping to avoid rebuying it hehe.  It might come to that.

I'm not sure if MSFS allows multiple installs to multiple PCs so when I uninstall that allows me to install on another PC.

Makes sense but not sure if that's how it works.
