Wondering what apps available / how you use your iPad to maximize your flying experience in p3d?

in particular I’m wondering about charts for ifr, real-time weather, flight plan tracking, etc.

thanks and happy flying!

May depend on where you are located. Fltplan.go in conjunction with the Fltplan.com web site. It is owned by Garmin.   have been using this for seven years.  I continue to find myself discovering more that it can do.  Its charts coverage is limited to North America and some but not all of the Caribbean. I pasted in an image of those countries it does cover.  Note for instance that the Cayman Islands are not listed.  I am in that area currently in MSFS and had to look elsewhere for those procedures and approaches.

I second fltplan.go! Even works with MSFS.

My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet

Working on MSFS 2024 versions.

I am using:

  • StationWX
  • Navigraph
  • A App called "Weltzeituhr" to show the time at DEP and ARR airport
  • VatScope

Navigraph and FlightplanGo work for me as well. Great coverage with both topographic and street maps (or sectionals) to track where you are.

Foreflight (used by professionals also) ... has everything, even checklists (real ones).
