I'll Quote If you are comfortable editing text files using notepad (or notepad++, sublime text, etc.), it's pretty straightforward. Navigate to the fs-base folder in the official/steam or official/onestore folder. Backup the en-US.locPak file. Open en-US.locPak in your text editor. Search for the string "VECTOR_EXPEDITE". You should find six lines with that string. Change only the four lines with "CLIMB" or "DESCENT" to remove the text that is in the quotes after the colon. Leave the quotes. Save the file. When done, the four lines should look like this: "ATCCOM.AGNT_AC_VECTOR_EXPEDITE_CLIMB.0.text": "", "ATCCOM.AGNT_AC_VECTOR_EXPEDITE_CLIMB.0.tts": "", "ATCCOM.AGNT_AC_VECTOR_EXPEDITE_DESCENT.0.text": "", "ATCCOM.AGNT_AC_VECTOR_EXPEDITE_DESCENT.0.tts": "", Note that you may still hear the radio "click" that normally plays after ATC says something. This is because ATC is still giving the instructions, it is just not saying anything when it does. Have fun! ...jim MSFS

March 9, 20224 yr Yes it’s an annoying bug, seems to be related to the ATC/Asure voice system not being able to handle the volume of traffic. Sometimes azure fails and we get robotic voices, sometimes the whole thing just shuts down. It normally only happens to me around large airports or in otherwise busy airspace. There’s a thread over in the official forums bug section that can be voted on. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/bug-logged-cannot-hear-atc-instructions-and-other-aircraft-suddenly-while-ai-copilot-still-responds/418969/241 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

I began noticing loss of ATC speech when I began turning off ATC in the toolbar, in order to get rid of the slight hiccough that happens regularly when ATC words are delivered and recorded as text in the ATC window. Then I would need to reenable ATC in the toolbar in order to review what was announced. Then disable it again to lose the stutter. And what is lost is only ATC's side--my pilot's copy of the ATC speech is retained. If I leave the ATC enabled for the entire flight, I don't get this disappearance of speech produced by the controller. March 9, 20224 yr Something crazy is happening, duplicating posts before I finish them. Forum Administrator, would you please remove these. I will close my browser, reboot my system, and then repost. Thanks! Administrators. I gave up here and have posted my tip in a fresh topic. Please remove all of my three recent posts from the last hour or so. You only removed three of them. There were six in total.
