Leonardo MD beta pics for MSFS

Featured Replies

I cannot wait until this drops. The wing textures does not look up to MSFS standards though. I wish they used more decals to crisp it up a bit.

Yes absolutely, I am a bit disappointed. That looks like P3D all over the place (where the Maddog was excellent graphics-wise, don't get me wrong), except for the obvious lighting. The screws on between the wing structure and the flaps just look awful. I guess I was just expecting more from Leonardo.

Do you find the Maddog looks better in MSFS in comparison to P3D (except for the obvius lighting improvements)? Your screenshots seem to tell another story, to be honest.

Double post sorry.

Have Leonardo said anything about the performance? Or if the OP is allowed to answer that one... how is the performance? (FPS wise, maybe compared to the FBW A32NX)

From what I've experienced, there is no significant impact on performance compared to most of the default aircraft.  I believe (but I've rarely flown them) its better that the default 747 or 787, and probably comparable to the default A320.  I can't remember if the FBW A320 had performance enhancements along its long update path, but the feel of this aircraft performance-wise is very good.

Here are screens showing how I modified the COMP file on this livery to make the Scandinavian metallic.  Nice little touch PBR gives us. 🙂

With the sun behind you, the text is mostly dark and appears to be one solid color...(rocketing out of LOWI....note my shadow in the snow)

But at different angles of the plane/sun position, the text comes alive with changing hues. 🙂
